From banking to investing, loans and funeral cover, the Old Mutual Banking App puts a world of finance in the palm of your hands. Transact on the go with your Old Mutual Money Account, check your balances, submit funeral claims, and apply for a loan and additional funeral cover, and much more.
While we continue to make the Banking App a fully featured mobile solution and add more functionality, we’d love to hear your thoughts on how we can improve. HOW IT WORKS
Sign up for a Money Account online at www.moneyaccount.co.za or at any Old Mutual branch. Alternatively, you can contact the Old Mutual Money Account call centre (0860 445 445) for more information.
Lastly, register for Old Mutual Rewards at www.secure.rewards.oldmutual.co.za. You can then access all accounts – Money Account and Rewards - on your Old Mutual Banking App.
WHAT’S INSIDE
Money Account
The Old Mutual Money Account is an account unlike any other. A banking account that gives you two accounts in one: a fully functional day-to-day SWIPE Account and a SAVE Account which invests your savings in a Unit Trust:
• SWIPE Account lets you Tap and pay, withdraw cash, and make payments just as you would with a regular banking account.
• SAVE is a unique savings feature that allows you to save as much (or as little) as you want, in a Unit Trust account.
The features of the Money Account include:
• Deposit cash into your Money Account at any Shoprite, Checkers, Usave, Pick n Pay or Boxer store.
• Buy airtime, data, and electricity
• Pay and manage beneficiaries
• Quick Pay - pay other Money Account holders for free using their mobile number
• Send Money - make a payment to a mobile number
• Access the money in your SAVE Account ANYTIME without giving notice
• Transfer money between your SWIPE and SAVE accounts
• View accounts balances and transaction history
• Switch card on/off
Personal loans
• Apply for an Old Mutual personal loan
• View your loan balance if you have one
Funeral cover and claims
• Apply for Old Mutual Funeral cover
• Submit a Funeral claim
Other features
You can also sign up for free to learn, earn and redeem Old Mutual Rewards points with Old Mutual Rewards from within the Old Mutual Banking App.

Ratings and Reviews
Money account ... swipe/savings
On presentation of opening the account, I was advised that you save money the more you swipe your card. Got me excited cos anyone can do with some extra. After some months when my balance was low, I figured they take of your own funds and transfer it to your savings which is linked to your swipe account. They call it a”MONEY” account. Very disappointing and Misleading!
They can perhaps work on some more transactions on this particular account, like cash send. They have one but it’s only when the other party has an OM account.
I also don’t see the sense of this continuous updates! At least I don’t have any login problems.
History info and running balance on statement
When viewing your statement via the app and you want to view which payment was for which beneficiary, it doesn’t tell you the name of the beneficiary just the account number. I dont know my beneficiary account numbers off by heart. And not being able to see your balance after each transaction in the statement view is something to look at

To edit an existing beneficiary reference when making a payment:
Go to 'Make a Payment', then 'Pay a Beneficiary,' after you've selected a beneficiary, tap the arrow by the 'Amount' field to edit the reference details. Hope that helps!
Confused and disappointed!!!
Dear OM ,
I’m extremely disappointed in your current registration process . I’m unable to complete the registration process using this app, I’m presented with a error stating that this is not the correct device . This is confusing as this is the same device I used to apply for my account in the bank . I strongly suggest your consultants setup the user’s app in store to avoid this unnecessary inconvenience. My initial excitement for this account as significantly declined , these are small and basic things one expect you to get right . This is an amazing product , however if you don’t resolve these issues I fear you will lose a lot of customers including myself .
Please urgently resolve issues with your app .
