Sign up for a Money Account online (www.moneyaccount.co.za) or at any Old Mutual branch. Alternatively, you can contact the Old Mutual Money Account call centre (0860 445 445) for more information.
Register for a MyPortfolio account to view your entire Old Mutual portfolio at any time. Once you’re done, you can switch between both services on your Old Mutual mobile app.

The Old Mutual Money Account is an account unlike any other. A banking account that gives you two accounts in one: a fully transactional day-to-day SWIPE Account and a SAVE Account which is backed by a Unit Trust:
• SWIPE lets you swipe, withdraw, and make payments just as you would with a regular banking account.

Money account ... swipe/savings
On presentation of opening the account, I was advised that you save money the more you swipe your card. Got me excited cos anyone can do with some extra. After some months when my balance was low, I figured they take of your own funds and transfer it to your savings which is linked to your swipe account. They call it a”MONEY” account. Very disappointing and Misleading!
They can perhaps work on some more transactions on this particular account, like cash send. They have one but it’s only when the other party has an OM account.
I also don’t see the sense of this continuous updates! At least I don’t have any login problems.
More info on the cover
An ok app. What I would like to see is the status of the cover with more information like if you have missed a payment, or if the cover is in arrears and how much you need to pay to keep the cover up to date. These are crucial information that that needs to be on an app so we can see and rectify if needs be not to be thrown a bomb on the day you are claiming.
Some of the “benefits” needs to be shown on the app as well like if you qualify for a holiday or not.
This app supposed to make our lives easier but at this point it’s not.
It’s just displaying your covers, i need to be able to interact with it, make late payments if needs be.
Apply for a holiday if needs be.
Add or remove departments if needs be.
Put in a claim if needs be.
Com on guys you can do better than this.
History info and running balance on statement
When viewing your statement via the app and you want to view which payment was for which beneficiary, it doesn’t tell you the name of the beneficiary just the account number. I dont know my beneficiary account numbers off by heart. And not being able to see your balance after each transaction in the statement view is something to look at

To edit an existing beneficiary reference when making a payment:
Go to 'Make a Payment', then 'Pay a Beneficiary,' after you've selected a beneficiary, tap the arrow by the 'Amount' field to edit the reference details. Hope that helps!
