Vodapay App

Great app and easy to use. I am not a tech savvy guy but became comfortable quite quickly with navigating and purchasing. Moreover, I felt safe with providing my personal information because of the brand. Made my first purchase yesterday and was kept fully informed, end to end regarding the order, tracking and delivery. I would like to see more other brands on this app so that it can be a one stop shop instead of utilising different platforms for different purchases as people are very familiar and comfortable with the Vodacom brand as a trusted provider, Yebo Gogo 😀

Well done Vodacom, I’ll be monitoring future developments which I am very excited about.

Do not buy vouchers on Vodapay

If you enjoy sitting in the phone being shuffled between call centre agents and petrol station personnel whilst they try to figure out why the valid voucher you bought for BP has been declined, scribbling numbers on their hands - then this app is for you.

A simple visit to petrol station has now turned into an hour long visit and it is still not resolved. And to top it off, the advice I was given by the Vodacom call centre agent was to use the voucher as soon as possible next time despite the fact that the voucher has an expiry date of August 2027 printed on it (it’s Oct 2024 at the time of writing).

Putting the voucher issue aside. The recent update to the app regresses in terms of user experience. A once simple experience has now turned into a Rube Goldberg machine of taps/ clicks even to perform a simple tasks. For example: try to find your previously purchased vouchers. Why do you need to click into a shop to see you voucher history?

Unreliable service

After 3 years of paying my account via EFT from my banking app using the same details on every single payment, all of a sudden last month the bank account number is incorrect.

This tried to pay via the Vodacom app and THAT was unsuccessful. I tried to call the toll free number and couldn’t get through to a consultant. So I went into the store and even they said after I showed them the number only banking app that everything correlated with the details. Capitec also confirmed that there is no problem on their side and referred the problem back to Vodacom. So no I am in arrears because I can’t pay my bill. What makes matters worse is that I have been overcharged on my account now and cannot get a hold of anybody to sort this issue out! Absolutely rediculous!!!!!!!!!

I am furious! You have caused me to be in arrears and now you want to hound me for the money but I CANNOT MAKE A PAYMENT ON ANY PLATFORM, AND IT SEEMS YOU CANNOT SORT OUT THE DAM ISSUE!
