I am an iOS user for 10 years and I use both iCloud and Google Photos. I prefer to use Google Photos compared to iCloud because I am sure that all my photos & videos are securely stored. Even if the originals are deleted on any of my devices, I am worry-free because I know that my files are safely backed up with Google Photos. The archive and utilities function of Google Photos are very useful and functional, too. I take a lot of screenshots and archiving them with just a few taps makes my files clutter-free. I also love the the media that are produced by Google Photos just by using my pictures. I am always pleasantly surprise every time one is available. The only negative thing I can say about Google Photos is that it doesn’t have family pricing. I hope a family plan will be made available soon. Thank you Google Photos!!!

I really love using this app because it’s super easy and fast and get so much more storage. BUTTTT i would really really really love for google to put a privacy album or a private album which will need some type of security to get in to and see the pics/vids. Because putting pics in the archive is honestly no use when u still can see it pretty easily. Would love it if you guys could put pics/vids in the archive but could only see those pics/vids in the archive ONLY. Because it’s lowkey kinda like Apple’s “Hidden” album folder 🤷🏻♀️ Also would love if google photos would detect if there are similar photos and you can choose which to delete or not. Because there are times I upload a photos from my device to gphotos, then delete it from my device. And then, download the pic again from gphotos which will then reupload the photo on google photos therefore a lot of duplicates in the google photos. So yeah, just a suggestion which I think would improve ur app to be the best possible 😊 that’s all i think is the little flaw in ur app which for sure u can fix easily. Wish you would listen for my suggestion and implement; private album, archive in which you can only view the pics and vids there only, and about the duplicate photos/vid being reuploaded. The features in this app are amazing! Really, what a discovery. I always encourage my friends and family to use this. Although, besides not having a "Duplicate" option what worries me most is the price :((. I absolutely love capturing memories and looking back at it, hence why I decided to buy the 2TB but I am still a student and living off of my parents' money. I use my saved up allowance to buy storage. Google Storage is great and all but would it be possible if we kindly ask for a student discount? I also wonder if we will continuously have to pay for the storage every month? or will it end in about 1-3 years?Also, please please please add a feature where it automatically finds duplicates so it could save up more space.Thank you.

To date, the best of them all here! Hope the UNLIMITED feature will be for a LIFETIME. One frustrating (and sometimes irritating) concern is the repetitive backing up of video files. Meaning, when a back up is on-going and you transfer to another when you come back to Google Photos it, most of the time, says that the back up was complete but, if you wait a while it will eventually continue to back up (again?…) your (latest) video files. And that annoys me. If it says "Back Up is Complete" it should be so. But, it's not. It will refresh again and will check for files to back up! But stiil, it's a very cool app. WE really hope the unlimited feature doesn't go away and stays on forever. Thanks Google!!!
