BILT has totally changed the game for renters! As soon as I heard about getting points for paying rent that can be used towards travel, i had to jump in. It was a no brainer! The app makes it very easy to sign up for the BILT rewards credit card. Once you receive your card, the process/instructions to setup the rent payment is very easy and all the info is right in the app. Points are updated as transactions are posted which is great compared to other companies where you don’t see your points for months! The app has cool blog posts on travel ideas and BILT as a company just makes it a fun experience being using the card. Few feedback points for the app. I wish it would sync more with the Wells Fargo features directly in the BILT app. To see statements, set up payment for the card, view billing cycles, instant transaction notifications, card settings, etc. all need to be done via the Wells Fargo account. I know WF is their payment processor but some better integration with the BILT app for these features would be nice. Setting up the Wells Fargo end of the card required some work and isn’t as straightforward but hoping this improves over time. Overall love the BILT card, love their support, and love the insta challenges they have to keep it fun and interesting. Getting points for rent is great! Thanks BILT!

A company maintain customer loyalty by living up to its promise. Bilt changes like having 3 cards, how earning and paying the rent for example was lately explained to customers and felt like a trap. That was going to have changes and no longer use Wells Fargo was anticipated. But the changes were not explained until last minute. The Blue card, it is not a ¼ of what we had. The fact that now the debt is automatically done from our bank account next day to avoid a fee is really not friendly. I a 5 days grace period would be a minimum offered. Any how, it is always unclear on how to earn full points on a rental pay if you want just find that info. Not friendly at all. Not easy. I can’t say right now what I need to do to earn full points next rent pay in March. Yes, I ready when I changed. But was so long the process that I am still lost and shouldn’t take more than a minute to find that info. I looked for 20 min and couldn’t find. Not even searching. It is disappointing. When I am back from my deployment I will likely look alternative on pay my rent. Perhaps going back to debt my own bank account. Let’s see.
Useless for everyday spend
Malignance
This Credit Card is good if you only plan to pay your rent. Even that’s mediocre at best. 2 huge problems with this card, firstly the conversion rate for the reward points is low. Just about any Credit Card out there with a 1% cash back rate out paces this card buy .25% or more. So even though you get rewards for rent you can math it out and cover any fees just by the extra % on cash back with literally any card on the market. Secondly the limit is way too low. Just enough to cover a single rent charge but forget about anything else which makes it practically unusable for the everyday spend or the rewards. Twice I’ve attempted to get an increase and twice I was denied. This is fine by me cause I don’t carry a balance anyway but for anyone that wants to use this as an actual credit card well good luck to you. I understand why Wells Fargo reports a loss of $10M per month on this card. If people are basically forced to pay off the balance each month revenue from interest is non existent. That is much better for the consumer however a terrible business model. Now for the app review. It’s like a rollercoaster of unattainable random stuff. The interface changes every 3 days and becomes very confusing to even use for simple things like checking your balance. They advertise soooo many perks and ways to use your rewards but what I’ve found is that you have to choose. Use the card for rewards OR for rent. Unfortunately credit limit restraints don’t allow for both. At least not for me.
Slow

App and website are extremely slow and produce a LOT of errors. This new payment system is basically unusable and it takes hours just to setup auto pay for no reason other than they don’t have the load balancers to deal with the extra online traffic. Also I am unable to link any of my bank cards to the system, it keeps saying that the information is incorrect… it obviously isn’t because I was able to add that exact card with the same information on other websites so there’s obviously a problem on their end. I haven’t seen such a poorly unoptimized website like this in almost a decade now, the government websites actually work better than dealing with this. Hopefully things will get better and SOON because this is definitely not a sustainable environment as it stands. You all are trying to do way too much with your website and don’t have the hardware to accomplish your vision. PLEASE! optimize your online service! I’ve been in the field for almost 20 years now, Im not going to get into any details but just look at your developer tools when surfing your website next time… there’s a whole lot of errors. (Tested on Edge, Brave- shields up and down, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, unchromium on both Windows and Linux operating systems both on bare metal and virtualization. Obviously also tested on this app) please do whatever you can to fix these issues get a professional, use Burp suite to dissect the issue if you have to. We all need this to work smoothly, I’m upset about this but hopefully this critical issue isn’t being overlooked.
