Knowt is a Quizlet alternative with the most intuitive and effective approach to studying flash cards I’ve seen in any learning platform. You can choose which types of questions you want to see when studying each flash card set, and if you chose multiple, it will introduce each term with a simple true/false or multiple choice answer before testing your active recall with written response questions. Knowt also has intelligent typo detection to mark very close answers as correct, and allows you to override correct answers as incorrect and vice versa.My original review was critical of some recent features that I thought were obstacles to studying and alienated users who wanted to escape from Quizlet’s feature bloat. After I submitted an admittedly whiney support ticket vaguely complaining about my gripes (expecting a bot response or none at all), the CEO reached out to ask for my genuine opinion. We exchanged emails and a patch was rolled out the same day that fixed the issues I had with the new streak and XP systems’ intrusive pop-up notifications. The team behind this app are really passionate about it and are hands-on with real user feedback to an extent that is rare and refreshing in this day and age!

This is a great app and I started using it to help study for tests I have. Most of the app is free and that’s incredibly useful, especially considering the fact that a lot of the things most learning apps make you pay for are for things that are actually useful like an extra practice exam or even a learning method. I use this app all the time and only have a couple issues with it. 1. Languages: I have AP Spanish Literature and am going to take the exam but there aren’t any practice exams for it unlike more popular exams like AP World History. It’s not just Spanish, it seems like none of the languages have these practice AP Exams which can be frustrating for people who could really benefit from them. 2. Video Summarizer: I unfortunately do not have access to a laptop, only an iPad, so this means things like chrome extensions aren’t easily accessible for me, at least not in a way I’ve discovered (please let me know if there is a way to use chrome extensions on an iPad). It would just be easier if they could make these options available for everyone across all devices. Honestly other than those two issues it’s an amazing app and I reccomend it to anyone who might want to try studying without having to worry about paying money just to learn in a way that is better suited to you. A great Feature would also be pictures. If I could add pictures to my notes I feel like that would make it easier for me to understand the subject as well.

I LOVE this flashcard/study app! This app/website is so sleek and user friendly. I love so much about it, but one of my favorite features is the PDF upload and split screen! So, you upload a PDF or file that you would use to create your Flashcards and it shifts to the left of the screen while the back end (creation part of making the cards) is off to the right! The PDF becomes interactive in that while you go down the list on your PDF, you can mark out the sections you have already made cards for. You can make comments or notes as well! All on ONE SCREEN! Next, I love that if you want to flip the term and definition you can do it for one single card or for the entire set with ONE click! Knowt is picking up steam! I am regularly telling all my nursing classmates about it and I hope everyone else does the same! If there’s a feature that seems to not work right or a missing feature, you can email the support team and they look into the issue rigorously and are very serious about customer service. I am NOT a paying member, but I think I’m going to become one just because they are a phenomenal team! If not, I’ll probably donate! I think the only thing I wish would be available is that when searching for questions online - their cards would come up in the search how Quizlets do! I’m sure once they really make a name for themselves, this will come - with time. I’m so happy to have Knowt as an option. I love everything about it! KAI is the smartest little AI bot too! Like, how does he know why I got a question wrong?! I can’t explain it, but he knows! (I think it’s a he anyways lol). Y’all… waste no more time! Get it ASAP! This app is amazing. I recommend this more than Quizlet. I really love all the gamemanised features that they have and also this makes studying look even better and also it makes everything feel like a game now rather than just looking at a boring flashcards over and over again and I love how I could win points and coins from in this app and the best part is I could trade them in for cool upgrades in app stuff like revival for my streak or streak freezes or better yet I can even add customisation stuff to my account like adding folders, maybe change my app icon or even or that profile page customisation or if you wanna go for even bigger prizes you could even trade in your coins for real merchandise like no joke you could get Stanley cup T-shirts hoodies caps possibilities are endless I’m trying to save all my coins so I could get a cool tumblr cup so I could drink water or mix powdered drinks in there this pop really got me motivated of studying in another good thing is it to take notes for me if I miss anything in class, I could always record it and it could give me the notes. I love to record my classes now and with this helpful app. my notes and AI generated notes this app is like a note taking G and also when I record in class if feels like I have a secret notetaker like for real. A good thing is I don’t have to worry about copy and pasting term and definition from flashcard the flashcard because I could also import it from Quizlet and I could also with their chrome extension tool that’s now installed on my PC. I can transfer any Quizlet study set and transfer to knowt and everything will be there and if my study sets from Quizlet have pictures pictures will also be transferred over as well I love using Knowt now and it is really good.
