I have been using AnyList for years and have seen it develop and it has greatly helped in many areas. It has helped me stay on budget as well as streamlined my meal plan process. One of the newer features that I was privileged to be part of the beta testing is the idea and the queue function and also the AnyList import recipe. You know all of those lovely Pinterest recipes that you are feeling adventurous about or those tested and true? Well, all you have to do now is just open it in your browser and select AnyList and it will import that recipe directly to the app. You then can cross off items that you already have and once you still need to get at the store. Another great feature that I love is You can choose which store that you primarily shop at or if there’s a specialty item in a certain store, you can label it as such. It also organizes it according to category, so if you get distracted, or your evil easily overwhelmed by all of the items, have no fear because It’s organized for you. For those that are number crunchers, you can add the price of an item and how much you need and it will calculate what your total should be a running totals to make sure there are no surprises at the register. This is an app that is not only affordable, but is a must for the subscription. I recommend it to all my friends and with all the time that you saved by using this app, go ahead and read that novel that’s been collecting dust on your shelf.
Easy to use, great features, thoughtful touches

I’ve tried many different list management apps, and AnyList is my favorite now for shopping and task organization. The app is easy to use at its core levels — for example, creating and organizing lists, autofilling list item categories, entering multiple list items at once, and managing items as they’re checked off. Digging a little deeper, the ability to create your own categories and organize lists into folders is really handy. You can assign shopping list items and categories to different specific stores, and add prices to items which are then included in a running tally as you check off items in the list. Even cooler are the recipe import and meal planning features, which work really well. I use the AnyList app on my iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and iMac, and through the web app on several other machines and devices, and synchronization works cleanly everywhere. I hover between rating the app 4 stars or 5 stars, leaning towards the 5. Let’s call it 4¾ stars. The only reasons I don’t give the app a clear 5 is that there doesn’t appear to be a way to assign due dates to a task, although you can set location-based notifications, and you can’t create nested lists, as you would with an outliner app. That said, the nested list limitation is mitigated by the easy with which you can add notes to list items, and organize lists into sublists and folders. In all, AnyList is an excellent app, and it’s well worth paying for the upgrade. I highly recommend it!

My partner and I both have an iPhone and figured we would create then share an Apple grocery Note with each other. That was a quick fail and so began the search for an app (unhappy, because I did not need another app on my phone). After a quick search, I found AnyList which seems like it would meet our initial purpose plus, it was highly rated. We started off with the free version (since I typically do not pay for apps). After being pleasantly surprised of their basic functions and user interface, we quickly switched to the $15 AnyList Complete (family) version. Now, we are able to access and use all features that AnyList has to offer via our phones and our computer’s browser. How has this app saved us money and time? PrIor to, we were scrambling to decide at which restaurant to eat. As you can relate, that gets expensive and unhealthy real fast! With AnyList Meal Plan, we have fun have every Wednesday discovering who found the most creative and wholesome recipes. Me, I enjoy adding a photo to my recipes, assign stores to the grocery list, and organize them into folders. My partner likes how easy it is (one click) to import recipes and add ingredients to the grocery list from the meal plan. We are now organized using AnyList Grocery List. Less time in the store, less impulse shopping and ultimately, a lower grocery bill. Thanks AnyList for the savings, increased fun in the kitchen, and being a true time saver in our lives. You have a happy subscriber!

I’ve used this app for many years and they continue to add more features without jacking up the price. I love the recipe import feature! Wow it really does do a great job of importing ingredients and the instructions as well as a photo if provided on the website. Then you can easily add any ingredients to your shopping list and it will include a note underneath of what the item will be used for (in case you wonder why you added one leek to your list and don't normally eat leeks). I also love the online shopping tool where it will send your list to the grocer of your choosing and then you build your list immediately without having to enter everything into their search bar. I like to comparison shop so I’ll import my list to Kroger, Publix, and Walmart and then get the items that are cheaper at each location. Plus some items are only available at certain places. I will place an order with Kroger/Walmart and with Publix (normally just the BOGO items as their regular prices are much higher than Kroger or Walmart). Then I’ll go pick up my order from one and then the other all in one trip. Makes shopping so much easier! The only thing I would like to have added is the ability to have all stores available in the online shopping feature without having to re-add them and sign in each time. It’s a little of a nuisance when switching from one store to another but not a deal breaker. This app works well with Siri and Siri Shortcuts. (I broke up with Alexa even before they did away with the AnyList compatibility.)
