I love the CarShield App. There’s been a recent update to the CarShield mobile app making it much smoother and easier to use. Being able to request roadside assistance from the app is incredibly convenient. You can also update your payment method on there, and make payments which prevents you from having to call. And any time I can avoid a phone call is a plus, so I appreciate that.

I have made one claim and not satisfied. The repair was delayed because Car Shield wanted an inspection. The inspection was to try and deny the claim. Then the part sent by their vendor, Parts Authority (based on Agency Law since Car Shield uses Parts Authority to ship parts, they are Car Shields agent and Car Shield is responsible for Parts Authority’s mistakes), was the wrong part. As a result my car was at the mechanic’s shop past 7 days. I had a rented a car pursuant to the policy. The policy only affords 7 days of rental. Based on the inspection and shipping mistake, my vehicle was at the mechanic’s shop past 7 days. I have to pay for their mistakes. I’m going the cancel my policy once my claim is complete. The App is beyond basic and doesn’t provide much information, eg, claim number, claim status, ability to submit documents for reimbursement, etc.

So we don’t run a carfax report until someone files a claim huh? I didn’t know my car had a salvaged title. I got your raggedy service because my brother recommended you people. I drive over the 600 miles needed for coverage and the moment I file you tow my car to a facility that can do the work that day but now I have to wait Friday when I started my claim, over the weekend because convenient you guys don’t work but wanna run a warranty company really smart. Then the whole day Monday because you people want me to cancel and you not cover. Too bad. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone reading or anyone looking for a warranty. Go to literally anyone else!!!! Run don’t walk!!! If I could give zero stars I would.

They rip you off. I had a policy for years and when I went to file a claim they cancel my policy the same day and won’t refund my money. I bought my car in July 2021 with clean title. They dropped me because the previous owner in 2020 supposedly said the car was a complete loss. How am I driving it to this day with a title that doesn’t say rebuilt bank statements sayings I bought it in 2021 and a policy bought in 2023 that they had no problem taking out monthly then offer a new policy less coverage more money and on a waiting list for it. Glad I ask a ton of questions. I got a lawyer. They could give a full refund. Should’ve ran a report within a a month not years later.
