For anyone that was annoyed by the big update a few years back, the app is lovely again and has lots of customization options! It can be annoying how often you get pop-ups about going premium if you’re using the free version, but it was worth the cost for me so I don’t mind too much. It’s a kinda silly detail, but I really love the app icon options! They’re so cute and make it way easier to tell which app is which at a glance!Old Review: I appreciate the feedback from the team and it seems like improvements have been made. It’s still running a little slow (buffers before and after tracking anything) and I’m still frustrated with the whole situation (it was a great app I can’t figure out why they changed all of it??),, but I do believe that they are trying fix it and overall I still like the company. Hopefully I can bring my review back up to 5 stars soon. ——— (Original review below) ——— I loved the app but they removed two of the main features that made it useful, so I think I’m gonna have to delete it soon. The missing features are: 1. The ability toggle what you wanted to track so you didn’t have to sort through a ton of things you don’t use. I don’t want to use this app to track my sleep, or weight, or diet, or most of the other options. It takes way longer to do that though bc I can’t find the button for anything. 2. Birth control seems to be gone entirely! I used to use the app to keep track of when I missed doses or took them late and for notifications reminding me when to take it! Huge loss.

More than Just a Period Tracker

I honestly can’t thank the creators of this app enough. I’ve been using this app for years and Clue has continued to update their app to improve function and usefulness for the masses. It not only tracks your period, but just about anything else health-related, too! It follows your moods, cravings, energy levels, exercise levels, weight, acne, you name it. If you mess up with following your period, you can even go to your analysis section and choose to omit a specific cycle from your overall period tracking; for example, I forgot to track my periods for a few months. When I came back, I simply hid that cycle from in history so it wouldn’t skew my future period predictions. Even from an educational standpoint, the app offers plentiful resources to gain access to information about contraception, love and sexuality, fertility, and even postpartum symptoms. You can use this app to do, literally, WHATEVER you need—it all depends on how much information you pour into it. The more data you enter, the more accurate and helpful the app will be for you. It also helps you be more attentive to what you’re feeling and how every internal and external factor is influencing all the different aspects of your personal health. I love how expansive and all-encompassing Clue is, and it has become a staple in my own health/self care journey. Thank you, Clue!

Why no way to report birth?
BlueSock223
Great app. Have used for years to track my cycle, and found it very helpful when I was trying to conceive and throughout my pregnancy. The one thing that’s missing that I think is a huge oversight is a way to indicate that you have given birth. The FAQ on their website says to just write it in the daily notes section. Not really that helpful as that doesn’t give the app any info, and I certainly don’t need a reminder. I switched from pregnancy mode back into regular mode and the app retained no memory of the fact I was pregnant, it was like “oh you haven’t logged a period in 10 months? Something’s wrong, girl.” And then for the next 5 months my cycle was very irregular, which is completely normal when you’re breastfeeding. The app remained concerned. Even now, my kid is almost a year old and my cycle has pretty much returned to how it was pre-pregnancy, the app is not very good at predicting when my next period will be because the average cycle length is still being skewed by the time I was pregnant, which the app views only as a very long menstrual cycle. This app is so detailed in everything else, it feels hilarious that they have neglected to include this. Give me a button that says “gave birth!” and another one for reporting a pregnancy loss, and make sure that information then influences the advice and expectations the app gives you in the months following. I feel that Clue could do this beautifully. They already have so much great education available on the app.

Hey, thanks for your review and we're sorry that the app doesn't yet have a way to report that you gave birth. We've passed your feedback on to our team. In the meantime, you can make it so that the time during which you were pregnant won't affect your averages and predictions: go to the Analysis tab > scroll down to your cycle history > select that cycle from the three dots at the right of the screen > enable the option to hide that cycle. This way, it won't be taken into account for the calculation of your current cycles. All the best, Ilaria - Support Team
Pretty good!

I don’t normally write reviews for apps but I think it may be helpful to a person considering the app idk tho. I will say I’m only on my 13th-ish cycle ever (like in my life) so I started using clue right when I got my first period 13 cycles ago and I was very frustrated for awhile because clue would be wildly off and I would have an extremely heavy flow the first day in the beginning and it would come without warning so I wouldn’t know till it was to late. Needless to say I lost a lot of underwear because of it, but after complaining to my poor friends about how upset I was that the app was so off everything time but like 4 weeks or entire months I would still keep logging my data keeping hope. AND MY HOPE I THINK WORKED?! I think if you’re a new user to the app it may take awhile for clue to learn your cycle and patterns which makes complete and logical sense I just am overdramatic. So 13 cycles later it doesn’t have it quite nailed yet but this most recent cycle it was only 4 days off which is substantially better than weeks or months. I have a feeling with how much better it’s gotten it’ll continue to get more accurate tho and I’ll love it even more since it only has 13 cycles with me and the people raving it have been using it for like 4 years which it crazy. Great app tho I love that it’s not bam hyped feminine in your face like how I heard other apps can be. In conclusion it’s great once it gets to know you it’ll be frustrating at first cuz it’ll be off (in my experience) but worth it!
Thanks for using Clue. This update includes bug fixes and performance enhancements.
If you're enjoying the app, feel free to leave us a rating and review.
