I have always had anxiety. But panic attacks are a whole new thing that started about 4 months ago. When they first started I had no idea they were actually panic attacks. I truly believed so had something medically wrong with me because of all the physical symptoms panic attacks cause. They even started giving me daily headaches and the dizziness and heart palpitations had me CONVINCED I was suffering from some weird heart or brain problem. I LOVE how this app helps you logically think through what’s happening to you. The step by step explanation and tips to get past it is AMAZING. I will continue to use this and am so grateful for the almost instant help it gave me. To know that everything I am going through is in fact symptoms of panic attacks helps me logically understand and believe it. I love how he actually says to go to a doctor and get a clean bill of health too. I was cleared of all medical reasons but still didn’t believe it until I listened to some of these and see that what am feeling is exactly what I was told. Panic.. not illness. I thought doctors were just dismissing me. This app is a life saver and I am so happy I found it. I hope it helps with the headaches too. I am on medication to help that because I work myself up so much I am constantly tense and causes daily headaches. But being able to calm down will hopefully help that too. I just couldn’t break the cycle of worry so I could relax. But this app has already helped me do that.

this app and Barry’s guided meditations have done more than i can ever ask in terms of helping me through anxiety. i’ve been dealing with panic attacks and agoraphobia for a little over two years now and this app has been a lifesaver. unfortunately, most other anxiety apps i’ve found are pretty greedy and lock 99% of their content behind paywalls. dare, on the other hand, has a surprising amount of free content covering a range of topics. not only is the availability really great, but the quality of the content is better than anything else i’ve ever come across. many other guided meditations are not my piece of cake. i find that they can be TOO ‘calming’ to the point where i feel uncomfortable, too broad to where my specific triggers aren’t being addressed, or overall just unhelpful. Barry’s SOS audios have been, as stated before, absolute LIFESAVERS for me. he addresses numerous different panic triggers and does so in a way that makes me feel understood, reassured, and capable.overall the dare app has saved me in some of my toughest moments. from battling anticipatory anxiety to everyday panic attacks, i’ve actually made it a habit to keep earbuds with me wherever i go so i can use dare’s tools as needed to get through really tough times. the app has done so much for me that i’ve even recommended it to my dad who is dealing with his own troubles with anxiety/stress. i can’t thank Barry, the developers, and the rest of the team enough for this app. it truly is an incredible tool and i’m more than thankful to have found it when i did.

PanicAnxiety
I’ve had anxiety and panic attacks for over 20 years. It’s been intense for a period of time, then it gets less intense. Now it’s intensifying again. I’m uncomfortable riding into elevators, airplanes, across bridges, especially narrow bridges worse if the traffic stops on the bridge. I’m afraid to drive on wide highways, and worst if the traffic backs up, my anxiety alerts me and I panic wanting to get off the highway. I seldom drive on the highways, but when I do I’m always with someone who is driving. My anxiety is so bad that I seldom go into the city. I’ve been listening to the Dare app now for over two years and I can say it has helped a little. I’m still not confident driving at certain places, I drive to work and no further than 10 or 15 miles away from home and I always take the back roads. I suffered from traumatic events from a child but it only gets worse. Now I’m going through a divorce and because of that I am always on high alert. My stress levels are through the roof. My greatest fears is driving anxiety, I’m afraid that I might panic when I stop at the traffic light and people will see me panicking. It is very difficult to remember to use the Dare dialogue when I’m going through it. Like I said earlier the Dare exercises help but just a little. I would love to go to one of the Academy classes but can’t afford the $300 not any time soon. I am also practicing breathing exercises but I really need more help. Can anyone recommend anything.

Better than my therapist

5 Days ago I would not have been able to or want to even write a review. I have recently been diagnosed with GAD. Sudden onset after getting a positive COVID result. An instant fire ran through my body. Ever since then I have had sensations I have never felt before. This is all day everyday. I have had a few good days. I don’t feel as if I had lots of anxious thoughts before. I Still have lots of questions of course. Now that I have DARE app I can calm down when my anxiety gets bad. Before I never knew anything about this anxiety. Dare has helped me fall asleep at night, breath, stop all different types of sensations, even face my fear of anxiety it’s self. Again I just started so I am still growing strength everyday. With the use of this app and the amazing creators I know I have it in me to overcome this. I really feel for the ones who have been dealing with this long before this. I can honestly say your strong and if you haven’t tried the DARE app I recommend it…. Highly recommend it. To the ones who have overcame this congrats and thank you for sharing what you have learned using DARE and what you felt helped you the most. I’m just amazed at how a different mental approach to anxiety and understanding it has made it diminish. I’m still working on this and will be using DARE everyday. Yes even after I have control over my anxiety. God bless.
