I had to use HepScout (kinda similar functions) for years at a previous job. I actually really liked HelpScout except the mobile experience was awful… basically useless if you weren’t on a big screen device if you ask me. Crisp Chat got it right with their app, and I use it similarly to how I used HelpScout before. All the functions I have looked for in the app are present and make sense.The only frustration for me so far has been that by default the mobile app filters chats by default in the Inbox, so I would get and alert and click it to open the app and if the chat was for another agent the chat would then be filtered out of the default Inbox view.I finally figured out the little filter capsule interface at the bottom of the chat works on iOS just like it does on the web. Combined with the top filter I was able for see and work with all the chats!Suggestion: It would be rad to be able to edit helpdesk articles and categories on the go in this mobile app!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️overall - thank you for a reliable and fast app that lets me stay in contact via chat when I am away from my main computer.

We’ve had an awesome experience using Crisp! It’s super helpful to provide support for a Shopify app given they enrich the data of our customers and share the Shopify URL to help us more quickly support them. We love their chat translation feature, their internal notes feature, their saved responses feature, and their helpdesk! Only complaint is we could use an internal ticketing system for better managing tickets across team members. We’re using segments and filters for the time being to get around it.

The list of issues with Crisp is endless. You can sign up with Google on the website, but then this app requires a password making it impossible to login without resetting your account. And people have pointed this out in reviews and yet they haven’t updated the app. The settings for the chat window are seemingly completely ignored. Their platform specific libraries seem to randomly stop working or never start working at all. Push notifications even once set up never get delivered. In app notifications that don’t require any special set up rarely fire. And their own support chat is pure AI slop. It’s impossible to get real support for any issue which you will certainly encounter. Do yourself a favor and do not download this app or engage with this company in anyway. Run!
