We get a handful of support emails from time to time and if you are technically savvy, we will get you working. This app will always work when correctly setup. Here are a few pointers if you are having issues.
-Once you get your app and device connected, we recommend giving your iTach a static IP. Your device WILL get a new IP and your app will stop working at some point. You will need to refer to your router manual for steps on how to set a static IP.
-If you do not have an external IP and port forwarding turned on, you must be on the same WiFi as your iTach for the app to connect. You will need to refer to your router manual for steps on how do port forwarding.
-Make sure your Master/Slave switch on the back of your device(s) is set right. A single device should be set to Master. Refer to the amp manual for documentation on the Master/Slave switch.
-The Master device is the one that must be connected to the RS-232 cable.
-In the app settings under the Server section, the server must be just an IP or just a DNS entry, nothing else.

Update 12/6: the developer reached out via email and assisted in troubleshooting, got everything back online up and running. Overall app works very well for what I need it for.App has always been pretty spotty as far as connecting, but it worked often enough to turn zones on/off/control volume when needed. Since the update to 1.8, I haven’t been able to connect at all, error unable to connect to server. Rebooted everything multiple times, tried changing ip’s, double checked all ports, deleted and redownloaded the app, and nothing! Can’t find a way to reach any tech support, please roll back the app or release a new version that fixes this asap! Need some music in my life.
Great app

Loving controlling my monoprice 6-zone amp via my phone. Setup was straightforward. Interface is clean and intuitive. A few suggestions to make it better. These would improve the app to me - it’s already a great app - just buy it! 1) when using groups allow changing of the source for all zones in the group window; 2) ability to have a master volume control for groups (so if using speakers for some zones and amps for other zones the levels can remain relative vs adjusting separately); 3) ability to change the order of the zones/groups on the display; 4) change all zones to the same source vs separately; 5) browser interface (or Mac/windows app) to control the amp in the same manner as the app. Love my setup and streaming music throughout the house controlling exclusively with this app.
Does what it’s supposed to. Missing a couple features

First and foremost, if you have the device this app works with you need it. You don’t even need the wall controls. there are a couple of points that need to be fixed:First, there is no way to move a configuration between users other than typing it into each device. This makes setup and Management a pain. Half star off. Second, there should be a feature to lock out an input from being available on a particular output. Imagine a surround sound stereo is along side this as the sound system for the living room. You may want to have a football party and play the game throughout the house, so an input is needed. You may want to be able to send the same music as the rest of the house is playing into that room, so an output is needed. However that input and that output running at the same time would be a feedback loop that would be horrible for all devices in question, so it would make sense to be able to lock out that input from ever being selected on that output. Another half star off.
Works Great

I’ve had the Monoprice 6 zone system for over two years and have been enjoying it. Actually....I love the amp. Just decided to try and add app support, app works great. No lags, it just plain works. I do have one question however, I have two of these amps and they are not linked via the flat cable. They are being used as two separate 6 zones, one system upstairs and another downstairs. I don’t see anywhere in the app to add a second amp. What’s the fix for this? Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.
* Support the new Monoprice 44518 8 zone server.
* You may need to recreate your zones in settings if you are using multiple servers and/or a 4 or 8 channel setup.
* This fixes any bugs you may have had with multiple servers, try recreating your zones if still having issues.
