Best banking app I’ve ever used

Hands down. So easy to use and has a ton of cool features. I love how easy it is to transfer between accounts and that I can set a variety of notifications and alerts. Excellent security features as well with Face ID. 10/10 - can’t wait for the finance feature! I also want to put in a word for GT Bank as a whole. I live abroad and was a little hesitant to open a Nigerian bank account (you can thank the social media horror stories). GT Bank was highly recommended to me, and to be honest, I am extremely impressed so far. Their level of customer service, security, and user-friendliness is unmatched. Even if other banks are good, I would happily stick with GT and recommend them to my friends and family as well. I wish I could rate this 4.5 stars though, because I had issues setting up my account at first. It required three trips to the bank in total because of improper setup (incorrect account type, first debit card didn’t work, issues setting up the app), which overall took a lot of my time. The teller who set up my account was rude and their errors caused the whole mess. Despite all that, I am still a satisfied customer! Thank you so much!

I have been a customer to GTB for more than 10 years now and I must confess that they are the best bank in Nigeria. Very reliable and highly customer friendly. Sometime I do act as a marketer for them by referring people to open account with GTB at least I can count 5 people that have GTB today all because of me. Please I want to appeal for you guys to update the mobile app so it will have the function of taking someone account from history for a new transaction. The appeal was granted you can now take someone account from history if you want to send them another money no need to start looking for the account number elsewhere simply go to your history. I wish I didn’t update the app. I have not been able to use the app since I updated to the latest version. It took weeks before I can get it to work and when it finally did, it couldn’t verify my BVN. The customer service refers you to a useless BOT that offers absolutely no help. GTBank is not ready for the big league digital world. UPDATE: August 27, 2023 - It looks like some updates have been made. I am able to log in and the interface looks cleaner, and more modern. I updated from 1 star to 3 because I still get occasional buggy error messages. The developers should keep working on the codes to make this ready for consumers usage. Not quite there yet. UPDATE: August 30, 2024 - Updated to 4 stars. Feels much better and the functionality appears more streamlined. On rare occasions you might get some errors but not on a frequency that’s beyond a typical app these days.

You guys need to do better when money does not reflect and your system shows it that it did not go thru, you guys should let your system refund it immediately so it will make it easy for everybody. Guys at the bank are so frustrated and they pass it on customer coming to lay complains about unsuccessful transactions I had to spend more than five hours today all because I was trying to get my cash back few years ago some of my transactions was not successful because it was hard to go to bank to lay complains during the shortage of cash in Nigeria up till now the money was gone. This is robbery in disguise. You guys should do better next time my money did not go thru and you guys did not refund me until I go to bank and some rude guys at the bank will be pushing me around because they see someone that is better than them I will close my account and take all my money somewhere more reliable .
