I remember in middle school (im in 12th grade now) i loved this game so gosh darn much. I built up everything and my might was in the hundred billions. I was at the top...and then Kabam handed the game over to new developers called Gaia. The game went downhill from there. Things changed but it was still a good game. At one point the game became boring and monotonous to the point where i quit for about a year and a half. I wanted to start playing again to see if i would be interested again and if anything was different (and it sure was different). strangely couldn’t find Hobbit KOM on app store so i has to redownload from my previous download section. Stranely i got a message saying to upgrade my game and it sent me to this app. BIG MISTAKE. I logged in and got everything all settled with my old account from Hobbit, just everything had different names so obviously licensing was an issue that changed everything. But the game was also so different, not just the names if things. Things were in different places, new features that made no sense, and the removal if features that made things easy. This game is also super buggy so that’s annoying. All in all, i deleted this garbage within days. I just want Hobbit back and Kabam back. When everything made sense and wasn’t geared towards people that just pay for crap. Rest in peace to such a wonderful game. I’ll have fond memories of it though :(

As an active player of this game I can’t get it through my head that this game has received all the negative feedback. I’ve been playing for a few months now but used to play the game years ago when it was “The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle Earth” when I first downloaded it looking for that game i was kind of annoyed by the relicensing of the game but decided to give it at chance. I’m so glad I did because this game is so beautifully complex and competitive. The different world feature makes it better because instead of competing with everyone who plays the game, you are given a group of a few thousand people in which the active player and the powerhouses really stand out. There are so many tiny things you miss and so many different things you have to grind and improve, this leads to having countless hours of gameplay. The clans feature is probably one of the best of all “City builder games” because of the small number of people playing on each world and this leads to very engaging conversations ranging from event strategies to talks about real life. Constant events make it never boring to play as they last a few hours to a few days and always give you fun. There’s so many other positive things to say about this game but all im saying is that before you see the intro to the game and delete it after thinking it’s just a regular city builder game, put a few hours into it and join a clan so you can start to learn the full depth and complexity of this game.

I CAN'T STAND the way the game works now. I'm just griping because I just encountered another way they sneak in-game currency out of you. There's currently a Tauriel's token event (whatever her new name is) and I had 24 tokens, and the cost is 4 tokens to spin the wheel. Well I spun it once, and then you have to use mithril to spin apparently - which I would NOT have used on this, but after the first spin, I couldn't use the freaking tokens I've already collected for it. It took mithril out of my account! They have GOT to quit saying there's an event that looks like a token event (or in this case, letting you use tokens and then switching to mithril!!!!) and forcing you to use mithril when you already have a crazy number of tokens that just look like you'd be able to use them for the event. There's just no justification. Have a freaking mithril wheel with no tokens that people have already won or bought or worked for. I'm so sick of it. I've been playing this game for years and it just keeps going downhill. I'm done. Within a week I'm going to open up and burn through all my might and I regret any cent I've ever used toward this game. How do they honestly expect to continue profiting from this game when they keep doing messed up things like this? It's effing baffling. And that iTunes even allows such a sadistic means of operating a game is beyond me. I'm not sure if filing a complaint with Apple will do much, but I'm going to put forth the effort since Gaea puts so much effort into tricking people to spend money/in-game currency. It might be different if any advantage lasted for more than a day or two, but it doesn't.

Been playing this game off and on over the past ten years. There used to be a way for non-spending players to compete by using tokens (farmed from campaign bosses) to play in a premium chance system. Sadly, this was eliminated from the game mechanics and the greedy game developers turned to a casino system that involved wheel and tower mini games. Players gambled with tokens for these games and the best way to acquire these tokens was by spending loads of hard earned real money for “mithril.” Kabam (the first company that owned this game) started these spend-a-thon tournaments for all the alliances and they all turned into a wallet warrior free-for-all. It was the best and only way to earn real might, gear, and experience. Huge scam. Anyway, the best part of this game was being able to meet new people in these alliances and explaining strategy through line chat for every tournament. Sadly, the best players were usually the ones who spent the most or cheated by using 3rd party apps to obtain mithril or help win tournaments. Then there were the players who straight up hacked the game and were able to cause other players to “open” their cities and zero all their might. Both Kabam and Gaea couldn’t figure out how to stop these issues. Now Deca (the third company now) is now running a dead game because most of the players left due to the issues I just talked about. I log into the game from time to time but there is still the same casino system with the same “spend-a-thon” tournaments. I thank you for reading this far and highly suggest new players to stay away from this life leech of a game.
