I’ve been using the app for almost a year. The app works great but the overall design could use some work.The power button should be placed at the top or anywhere else except the bottom of the screen. I lost count how many times I’ve accidentally shut the stove down just by swiping up trying to exit the app having to wait for the cool down process to finish before restarting. I doubt anyone from the developing team ever reads these reviews so getting a updated version probably won’t happen. But over all I it’s nice to be able to control the stove from anywhere.

The stove itself works well.. however the touchscreen controller on the stove is awful. It works 1% of the time at most. Then there’s the app. The app will allow you to turn the stove off and on, which is a great feature. Beyond that it’s absolutely useless. Setting a desired temperature doesn’t matter because the stove will either keep burning and not shut off at said temperature or it will shut off and then not start back up. Also the app is very hard to navigate and crashes at least every other time I use it. And the upload log feature doesn’t work so the children who made this app won’t ever be able to see its many flaws. 10/10 would not recommend

Sure, it works. But it is definitely not very ‘smart’. The main issue I have is that the app schedule feature does not seem to really know if the stove is on or off. Every event you set in the schedule will simply tell the stove to do the opposite of what state it is in. Example. The stove is off, which is as it should be in your schedule. You come home early and manually turn it ON. You have a scheduled event to turn ON at 3pm. At 3pm… it’s already on, and the app turns the unit OFF. Pretty dumb and such an easy fix. So… it certainly works, but this ain’t Ronco. You can not set it… and forget it. It requires constant monitoring

Overall, the smart stove app works very well and is intuitive to use. Most features function smoothly, and it does a great job controlling and monitoring the unit. However, the placement of the on/off button is a significant drawback. It’s located at the bottom of the screen, which makes it easy to accidentally press when swiping up to close the app. This has caused the stove to shut off unintentionally on more than one occasion. With a small adjustment to the button placement or an added confirmation step, the app would be nearly perfect.
