I’ve tried quite a bit of apps trying to get the most out the Philip hue light system. I got about 100 different fixtures and I gotta say since I downloaded this a few years back it was one of the best and still is the price is extremely reasonable and the improvement for consumer use is amazing and simple to get the mood or party going even alone put the headphone on and enjoy the show!! Like any other app is can have a bit of buggy stuff but still is amazing. I work in the film industry specializing in lights and it’s nice to come home and get this type of performance out of a consumer base app it’s mind blowing! I don’t get the same control I do in my work but trust me it’s so simple to use to have a home party or gathering or like me just to distress lol amazing and great guy the creator! Message him about a year and a half ago about a problem and answer to me with many helpful response thank you! Keep it up can’t wait for future improvement! Thank I hope yall enjoy it as much as I do even when it bugs out which is like 2/10 times that’s more that good enough thanks

This app lets me sync my Philips Hue Go lamps to music. I absolutely love this functionality. The effect looks amazing. I do tend to set the effects to ‘chill’, as I find ‘auto’ and ‘party’ change to quickly to my taste. When I used the app to play jungle sounds (yoga type music) I was absolutely amazed by the effect. One bug that I hope to see changed in a future update: I normally play my music on two connected HomePods. When I use Airplay from the music app, the paired HomePods are visible as an option. However, from this app I can only select one of the HomePods; the second one cannot be seen. I found a workaround (that is a bit of a hazzle) though: if I set the Airplay from the app to my AppleTV, I can then change the Airplay in the Apple Music app to switch to my paired HomePod.

Absolutely love this app! When I first started my Philips Hue journey I had one bridge and simply wanted to sync Apple Music to my lights which isn’t possible in the Philips Hue app currently. I downloaded this app casually and it blew me away. I paid for it immediately. I’ve since gotten super techie and have 5 Hue bridges so I can have 50 lights sync in the entertainment mode with the iLightShow app. It looks phenomenal and love how my whole house puts on an incredible light show when I listen to music. I’ve emailed the developer a few times and is super helpful with questions. Because of how well this app works, I’ve essentially designed my entire philips hue lighting system (about 85 lights across 5 bridges) in my house around it. Highly recommend! It will knock your socks off!

This really is a great app and I really enjoy how it interacts with my hue lights. There are only a couple issues (that I don’t believe have been addressed) that hold it back from a 5 star:1) Buying premium isn’t that bad, not that expensive... but I can’t share across devices. I bought this on my phone and would like to share it with my wife and son. But I also don’t want to pay another $5 each to do so. If there was a way to share the premium feature then that would be fantastic.2) This is the biggest drawback to me... the app doesn’t run in the background. If I leave the app or close my phone, everything stops working. It’s not realistic to think that I’ll leave my phone on for hours while listening to music or hosting a party. If this can be addressed then that would make this app a 5 star for me.
