Omada app is used for configuring and managing your Omada devices. You can change settings, monitor the network status and manage clients, all from the convenience of a smart phone or tablet.
STANDALONE MODE
Standalone mode is designed for managing EAPs or wireless routers right away without having to spend time configuring a controller. Each device is managed separately. This mode is recommended for networks which only have a few EAPs (or wireless routers) and require only basic functions, such as home network.
CONTROLLER MODE
Controller mode works together with a software Omada Controller or a hardware Cloud Controller, and is suitable for managing multiple devices (including gateways, switches and EAPs) centrally. Controller mode allows you to configure and automatically synchronize unified settings to the devices in the network. Compared to Standalone Mode, more configuration options are available and supports to manage more devices in Controller mode.
You can manage devices in Controller mode in two ways: via Local Access or Cloud Access. In Local Access mode, the Omada app can manage devices when the Controller and your mobile device are in the same subnet; in Cloud Access mode, the Omada app can access the Controller across the internet so you can manage your devices wherever you are.
Compatibility List:
The controller mode currently supports hardware cloud controllers (OC200 V1, OC300 V1), software Omada Controller v3.0.2 and above. (To experience more features support and more stable services, we recommend that you upgrade your controller to a new version).
Standalone Mode currently supports the following models (with latest firmware):
EAP245 (EU)/(US) V1
EAP225 (EU)/(US) V3/V2/V1
EAP115 (EU)/(US) V4/V2/V1
EAP110 (EU)/(US) V4/V2/V1
EAP225-Outdoor (EU)/(US) V1

More devices supported by the app are coming!
The app is getting better but Im sure many of us that may use an iPad with a keyboard for administration through the app would love that it supported landscape mode. This is a simple win that would be greatly appreciated. We all welcome frequent and consistent updates. If there is a feedback area to request these enhancements we would love to know. Thanks!
Buyer Beware

This app is far from able to setup and control the tp-link network devices. For example I just spent two weeks going back and forth woth to-link support trying to setup VLAN on an SG2008 V3 switch. After hours and many emails, their support person suggested I use a browser to log into the SG2008 directly. Then I could set up the VLAN. I just re read the tp-link description provided here on the App Store. No where does it state that is for only minor setup as their support person stated. Shame on tp-link. So much for commercial quality products. Doesn’t their marketing department realize that having a poor performing app is going to lead to much discontent among its customer base?
Portrait only.

Yet *another* app that forces you into portrait mode. As a productivity user who has Omada as a home setup, it probably doesn’t come as a surprise that I tend to use my iPad with a keyboard and typically have my iPad in landscape mode.Unfortunately Apple provides no way to force the rotation of apps made for iPad. Ironically, I can do it for iPhone so I’d rather have the iPhone version of this app than the iPad one but I have no choice to do that too. Leaving a star since I appreciate that they built the app, but it’s so annoying to use; only slightly less so than their web app on iPad. It’s a good web app too, but yet again, poor optimization for iPad.
Very Fast WiFi with a seamless app

I have been selling clients on the Omada system. I’ve been using it long enough to enjoys the updates and how simple it really is to get many antennas setup so quickly. Yes, to do more advanced setups you must use the web browser but that is understandable. Omada has my vote! I am a previous Unifi user that was always wanting a simpler approach for my clients to manage themselves.
1. Fixed several known issues in Standalone Mode for improved stability.
