The mobile app, “OSH Compline,” uses inclusive language and is based on the service of Compline in the Saint Helena Breviary: Monastic Edition. Expressed in contemporary, inclusive and expansive language, Compline is the fourth and final daily office chanted each evening by the sisters of the Order of Saint Helena.
The mission of the Order of Saint Helena (Episcopal) is to show forth Christ through a life of monastic prayer, hospitality and service. We are lay and ordained women living communally under a vow of monastic poverty, celibate chastity and obedience to God.

The sisters have out done themselves with this app. Having this on my tablet allows me to partake in Compline everyday without needing to always find my prayer book. I look forward when the rest of the daily offices are online. This is a must have app for all Episcopalian’s.
Modern compline, ancient music.
The Order of Saint Helena has put together a wonderful resource for Episcopalians/Anglicans who want to pray the office of Compline with modern language and traditional chant. The musical layout is in the Gregorian “neume” format, which may take some study for those used to modern notation. However, it’s fairly easy to learn, and easy to follow.
I’m so excited to have the OSH Office available in a phone app! I love the updated inclusive language texts. I am looking forward to the rest of the Office when it becomes available. Thank you, Sisters!
