Would be nice it’s open automatically once near reader and also a must to have on Apple Watch.

Set it up and it’ll work, aside from the realities of building access being tied to something that you can easily break or run out of battery. The real issue is due to the developers failing to understand their customers. I got a new phone and enrolled the reinstalled app, my credential was still in the app. It just didn’t work, I was locked out of the office today. Our credentials manager said this always happens with new phones and Farpointe does not respond to requests for help. To resolve this you have to register a whole new credential, which costs money. And guess what…there is no way to delete a credential from the app! If you add the new, paid-for credential you’ll have the old useless one confusing and cluttering your wallet. Get the bright idea to delete and reinstall the app, and then reload the credential? Welp it only works one time, so you’re locked out again and need a reissue again. Any app with a credential update process that requires deleting and reinstalling the app in a specific, irreversible sequence barely deserves one star.

This app is satisfactory but could be more effective if it had a watch app & a bit better user interface with nicer layouts & animations. Also, adding a feature that allows this app to run in Wallet would be great too. I do realize that’s an NFC vs BT thing, but there’s got to be a way. Searching for this app when walking up to the door is annoying & having it more easily accessible would be a game changer. Also, the privacy policy needs to further clarify the limitations of data collection in regard to location services when granting “Always” to the location permissions.Otherwise, it works as designed. The app works well and is convenient once you customize your settings. The irritating issue is that it frequently asks if you want to delete the app. It is so touchy that placing your phone in your pocket with the app open may result in deletion of the app. This is troublesome if you have to pay the facility you use it at each time they have to re-register you.
