Auto-open has always been hit or miss, but recently, SIRI opened my garage door and it’s not even linked to it! My phone was on the charger in the house and I was outside. Suddenly door opens. The notification said Activated by SIRI. That’s scary. I double-checked and confirmed Siri does not have access and there is no shortcut to Nexx. I removed and reinstalled app making sure to not allow Siri access. Now auto-open won’t work at all. The app does not allow me to check the boxes on the disclaimer to authorize the function. Repeated reinstall. No luck. Support says they are looking into it, but seeing that someone else had this issue with checking boxes 8 months ago, I don’t have high hopes of a resolve.

I have 2 Nexx NGX-100 & 1 Nexx NGX-200. I find they work well and reliably with my phone most of the time. Auto open usually works well for me and I like the door opening as I pull up my driveway. I use usually because there are random times the app requires you to login again and will not work until you do. This is a big problem because I cannot login safely while driving. On days this problem occurs, I find the product useless to me because of the app. I am picky here; I believe there are too many clicks required inside the app to do anything. And you need to remember to click the save button at every level or the settings will revert to their previous conditions. The app will (what appears to me to be random) log you out with no warning. Once you are logged out. The just drive feature won’t work. Also the Apple Watch cannot be authorized without your phone making it completely frivolous and useless. (Why have a watch app that won’t work without your phone?) I like to open and close my door from my watch app when I go out for a jog & I leave my phone home. But, I’ve had the watch app work to close the door as I left the house only to come home 90 minutes later and have the watch app tell me I need my phone to reauthorize my watch before it will open my doors again. Leaving me locked outside my house.Additionally there is a bug in the Apple Watch app because in order to reauthorize it, I need to uninstall it from my watch and reinstall it. Your mileage may vary.

i have an extensive smart home system as well as a dedicated AP in my garage to support this device as well as a few others. this device started becoming non responsive and NEXX wasn't any help in troubleshooting it other than telling me to buy another one. the app and my smartthings system have trouble connecting to this device and my monitoring system frequently has high ping times on this device. my wife and i stopped trusting this device after being locked out with "cloud errors". on trying to resolve issues i found that if i use wifi or 5g/cellular to connect i get the same cloud connection issues. additionally, attempting to use SIRI or short cuts will lead to the app and the device locking up. this is a new problem with Device FW 3.3.22. seriously, this is junk, try the Meross. i would rate this and the app a zero of i could a total waste of time and money. UPDATE: I SOLVED THIS PROBLEM! I simply bought a Meross Garage door opener for $30, ripped out the NEXX and deletwd the NEXX HAOME APP. the Meross works perfectly amd integrates well with Siri/Homekit.

I have a 2 gate swing gate that with an accessory module plugged into my USAutomatic Patriot 2 system motherboard. Initial setup requires WiFi. After app is set up it works reliably over iPhone or iPad Verizon LTE internet signal. My home Wi-Fi is satellite HughesNet with their signal amplifier. It reaches from inside home to 700 ft to gate motherboard unobstructed. About once a month the app goes offline. Sometimes it resets itself. Sometimes I gotta go to the gate, unplug replug the module to reboot and it’s online again. I’ve used the app to open for deliveries from home and 100’s of miles away. It’s the only system like this I’ve found for my gate without spending thousands of $. It’s not perfect but pretty darn close. Have used for just about a year.
