Having come from Soul Knight, and preordered the game, i have mixed feelings. I’ve played for about 10-30 minutes, here are my thoughts: The actual combat mechanics in the game are rough, they take time to get used to. Adding dodging as a mechanic is a good idea but, due to poor execution, dulls the gameplay and even makes it frustrating. To fix this, I would love to see omnidirectional dodging, rather than only back and forth; instead of dodging away from the direction you are looking, how about dodging towards the direction you’re looking(aiming). That on its own should bring combat from a 5/10 to an 8/10. Next, the plot is confusing. It feels like there is an attempt to make a plot, but it doesn’t go anywhere. Hopefully we can look to better that in future updates. There is no tutorial after the basic combat tutorial, so I would love to be given more direction on what I’m supposed to do in the game after that. Onto what i enjoyed in the game! The art! The art is beautiful, right from the get-go i was blown away by how wonderful it was, I’ll be staying for that. The style! It’s a Chinese game and it maintains that aesthetic well, while also giving us more. It’s a bit hard to explain that part, so go ahead and check the game out for yourself. Finally, the fighting. I was ragging on it earlier, but it is still enjoyable. Even with its flaws, i can still have some fun. Thank you for the game, developers! I wish you the best of luck from here on, and i look forward to the next updates!
