From a country like India, which is a land of top software development engineers, it’s sad to see such a Stone Age app being rollled out. This speaks volumes to the Government bank mindset of forcing people to the branch office and make them wait in lines, rather than improve digital connectivity. I’m sure they can invest in a better app, but it’s the culture of ‘it’s-OK’ which stops it. Take ICICI for example, they have a top app and set a bar for other Indian banks to follow.

The app seems to crash everytime a new page loads. Doesn’t seem to hold data accurately. I have to always reset or set my pin after setting it once. Solution I’m given is to uninstall and reinstall the app, which is atrocious.

It’s very shameful for the Govt of India to have this kind of app for a public bank that has been used by millions of common citizens. I have been trying to use this app for the last 5 years, never able to successfully access my bank account. Every time I get a message “Please try again later”. Inspite of getting all phone permissions, still complains about “some unknown permission is missing “. I have not seen such an annoying app in my life time. Even my highschool kid could develop a better app than this with more security.
