First off, I really like the ring. Second, as someone who is blind, I appreciate that the app works reasonably well with Voiceover, the iPhone screen reader. However, I have noticed that the step count is nowhere near that given by my Apple Watch. You need to add indoor walk (such as on a treadmill) and elliptical workouts. The ring counts my time on the elliptical as actual steps, but doesn't seem to count anything at all from my time on the treadmill. As I wear this ring on the same hand I hold my cane in, I don't move my arm quite as much, or in the same way as most people. Actually, I find that I don't move either arm as much as most people when I walk, but the Apple Watch still picks up my steps, where the ring does not. Also, it doesn't seem to export advanced sleep data to Apple health, so all it shows if I wear only the ring to bed is time in bed or time asleep, but no info in Apple Health about the breakdown of my sleep, such as core, deep and REM sleep. It would be nice to not have to wear both my watch and the ring to bed, but until your app can export all the same data, I'm stuck having to use both. Finally, the app does not always update the stats, and I have to force close and then re-open in order for it to refresh. It says "pull down to refresh," but nothing seems to happen when using VoiceOver. So, like I said, great ring, pretty good app, but still some room for improvement.

At first it was incredibly confusing and when I woke up my fingers were so swollen I couldn’t even get it on until I ran my hands under cold water. The charge is nice it’s currently on 73 I could prob wear it for another day or two and be fine but I doubt I’d let it get too dead. I like that it comes with a charging case that you can fully charge so if you have no where to charge it it’ll charge in the case. Great for travel. Small and compact. I’ve been testing the waterproof function like crazy. I wash my hands with it, wash dishes, I’ve submerged it in water. As long as after you’re done with water you IMMEDIATELY take it off and dry it and the inside of it, it works great and I think that’s a great little give. Yk like yea I gotta dry it afterwards BUT it can track me while swimming or I can still do my chores without having to take it off. And we’re always gonna dry off and dry our hands so it’s a simple extra step. After my lovely smart handsome boyfriend pointed out to read the comments on the app I started to understand that it does live track but not every second. It can go up to 60 minutes or down to 30 minutes depending on how often you want updated info. And it’s not updated info from like the second it refreshes it tells you everything from that hour or wtv time. Over all great ring. Doesn’t get in the way, very light and comfy, accurate readings. Love that it’s free with no subscription and i only paid $50 for both rings.

The health readings seemed off—after getting my blood pressure taken at the doctor’s office, I used the ring immediately after, and the numbers didn’t match. That could be a tech glitch… or maybe something more. But here’s where it really got strange: on the inside of the ring was a sticker that read “Little Meatball.” At first I laughed nervously—then I paused. Why would a biometric health device have such an odd, seemingly irrelevant label? It instantly gave me that gut feeling, the one that says, “This isn’t random.”If you know anything about how coded language is often used in elite circles, you’ll understand why I couldn’t just brush this off. “Little Meatball”? Really? Feels like an inside joke we weren’t meant to get—or a reference hiding in plain sight, the way symbolism often does in products pushed to the masses. Maybe it’s nothing. Or maybe it’s another example of how subtle programming hides in everyday items.Either way, I’m paying attention. The tech might look harmless, but trust your intuition when something feels off. This is decent software, but it’s not quite ready for prime time yet, as there are significant problems. Some of the data is sent to the Apple Health app, and some is not. And that which is sent, some is accessible to Siri, and some is not. Siri cannot read data from the SmartHealth app, but can from the Health app, so you must interface one with the other. Siri can tell you your spO2%, but cannot tell you your blood pressure. No, this is not a problem with the Health app, as I tried using a different Health Ring app, and it managed the blood pressure just fine and Siri can read it. Funny thing is, the data is passed to Health perfectly, so YOU can read it, but Siri cannot. The other app cannot get the BP calibrated, or I would use it instead. Come on, SmarthHealth programmers. You can do this.
