I would love to understand the stress scores a little more…not quite sure what to do with information that says I am stressed out at midnight when I am in deep sleep but somehow normal when I am riding shotgun with my teenage student driver daughter. I know HRV is involved but would be good to understand more. Temperature changes mean what? I think the app can improve on helping to tease out what exactly I am looking at so I can have some clue as to what I should change (if anything). Overall, ring itself has been easy to wear and ok for a smart ring. All Smartrings are ugly on a woman’s finger. I wonder which company will finally get a clue there and develop a smart ring with a little style included. I guess one could say the same for smart watches. I am happy with my purchase and for a non-subscription app, I appreciate what info I am getting but looking forward to it having enough on it that I can convince others in my family to get one.

As far as RingConn vs Aura, my wife has Aura, and there isn’t much of a difference, both apps are ok. For workouts, stick with a watch - The RingConn app is no where near as great as the Apple Watch - it does not organize the date into an easy to read summery, but the data is all there - so unless you want to get out your spreadsheet it’s not very helpful. For sleep, the RingConn does a good job, and if this is why you want it than go for it. Who is to say if the Apple Watch is accurate (?) but if it is than the RingConn is not accurate with its heart rate measurements during workouts - generally it’s in the right realm but at peak work out it reads quite low compared to the Apple Watch. This could be because it only tracks every 5 minutes and perhaps it’s not getting my peak heart rate moments. The Apple Watch you can record specific workouts like yoga, hockey, interval training etc. The RingConn you’ll have to just look at the hours. Graphs could be better and data summaries for workouts could be improved. Hopefully accuracy will get better. Should you get this? If you want to track sleep and not wear a bulky watch than yes, I don’t think you’ll get a better product or app with any other smart ring. For workshouts definitely get a smart watch they are just far more sophisticated at the time of this review.

I’m seeing Reddit threads indicating I’m not the only one. The permissions are set as they should be on my phone, Apple Health, and this app, and yet nothing syncs. My health insurance offers rewards for tracking sleep, steps, etc and I hoped this would be a great way to participate. So far, it’s not.Also, trying to start one of the VERY limited workouts has only ever worked once for me, despite setting it to automatically detect. **Additional**While I had to shut down and delete my Apple Watch to get my phone to pull this data, and I’ve been ok with that, something has changed just in the last month. All current reviews are showing it too. 1) it’s needing the charge way more often than it used to 2) the app no longer pops a notification that the battery is low so 3) the ring just dies unexpectedly and the first couple times I was unaware. My settings on my phone and the app are correctly set- it’s just not notifying. This needs to be fixed if you want people to keep loving this device. I have been recommending it over the Oura, but not now until this gets sorted out. I was about to buy my husband one for Christmas, but now I don’t have confidence to spend the money.

I have had the RingConn Gen 2 for about 6 months. Yesterday, while visiting a friend, I noticed the ring wasn’t on my finger. I couldn’t connect to the app. When I got home, I tried connecting and it connected, but after a cursory search, I could not find my ring. The app kept saying I was close and it was lighting up my ring, but I still couldn’t find it. This morning, I tried again and the app kept telling me I was within 1 m of my ring. Long story short, it was way at the back of a shelf in the closet and I found it when I started moving containers. If it hadn’t been for the app, I may have never found the ring. It spotted the area of our house where the lost ring was located. This gave me one more reason to love this ring. RingConn Gen 2 gives me very accurate info, no subscription needed, and charging it in the charging case is very convenient and the charge lasts almost 2 weeks for me! I think I’ve only charged the case 4 or 5 times since I have had it. I highly recommend the RingConn Gen 2!
