Frustrated delivery driver
The app has gotten worse since they went to the App Store version of the app, especially with iOS 13. It continually looses connection when driving in a straight line and constantly reminds you to stay on the current route. The maps are outdated and slow and half the time it doesn’t take into account traffic conditions. There needs to be an option to choose reverse option for the delivery route. It always does closes first, farthest last. Most days I want the complete opposite and it is a pain to individually choose the next delivery each time. Also the camera function needs work, especially low light with the glass, takes way to long. Overall the app uses way too much battery power. I will go through 70% of my battery delivering for 1 - 1 1/2 hour and then I can drive home using my maps app, stream music and call home and only use 10% battery the whole way. Lastly is an issue with only iPhones X, Xs, XR and so on. When I first login the screen asking about being available right away, the X to close the screen is behind the battery/signal icon in the top bar and it tables more then 5 taps to close. Oh and I almost forgot with this new so, I have to re login in almost every time, it constantly signs me out. Sorry for the long review but I have to be honest with my frustration.
Would not recommend
I used to drive for the flex program. First of all the station I always pick up at in Phoenix Arizona. The employees at the station always give you more than you’re actual scheduled route. A 3 1/2 hour can turn into a 5 hour block. Also the route is always out of order and causes you to go back and forth between the same neighborhood. Another thing is that the app always crashes which causes you to keep logging back into the app even with the new updates. Lastly just be careful who the supervisor is for the employees because even if you do your job and get as much as you can done they will terminate your contract for returning packages you weren’t able to finish. Being a driver is a risk because you’re using your own car spending majority of the money you make on gas and although the employees aren’t your supervisor or boss they will try to terminate you for doing your job and returning packages that are late. They have their own system to report who they don’t want anymore. And let but not least their have been many drivers who came up to me an told me that they drive around to avoid getting packages before they actually check in and scan their id. So if you see drivers leaving without packages you know why. It’s definitely not fair that they don’t distribute packages and routes to match the time frame and I’ve been one to always get a lot of packages while others get to check in and leave with nothing with pay.
The application is totally bad
This application is laughter and at the same time it is sad for the people who need to work with it, it demands a lot and the application as such does not work, it has too many problems such as connection to large problems with the gps and severe problems with location, many times it happens That the application indicates a specific area where you have to leave the package and when you are there you realize that where the house numbers do not coincide where it tells you where to leave the package and it is 10 or 15 minutes from there, can you imagine? How can I work like this? That has happened to me many times and it is frustrating, the option is to contact customer service but you can never do it because they leave you waiting for a call that never comes and this problem has been a long time ago and they have not even bothered to fix it, then you only have to take it to the station and there the blame is imposed on the driver as he did not complete his block and no matter the explanation you tell him of what happened they will always put you that the driver did not deliver and the fault will be the driver , not the application, now they updated but nothing improved, they just put a way to put more pressure on the driver with goals to meet that if not completed he will not be able to continue working with the application, it is incredible but true.
