One of the not so good agencies. First all of it is such an inconvenience to work an orientation shift before you can even pick up any shifts. Also they are so quick to reject documentations and credentials it took me several tries to put in credentials because shift led wanted to keep rejected almost everything I submitted. And what a waste of time is it to go through all of the process to be drug screened and etc to not be able to pick up shifts. Even worse most of their shifts are far way from me. I live in Decatur, ga which is very far from Columbus, ga and warm springs ga instead of them looking for other facilities outside of the Columbus, ga area so their workers could have more variety they offer the same facilities that is no where close to Atlanta and wonder why no one picks up. No one lives near Columbus, ga. I’m sure the facilities aren’t even worth the drive to go all the way there. Also,when u need support the agents take forever to reach you so u do other things then the reach you a week or so later…….. I don’t ShiftMed…

I use several other agencies in addition to Shiftmed and feel qualified to give an accurate, unbiased review. The app is user-friendly and intuitive. It is easy to adjust the search parameters like location, pay $, dates, shifts. Clocking in and out is also simple although recently over the past week, I’ve had issue with clocking in, the button I tap to “clock in” does not seem to work. I really like the ‘next day pay’ feature, wherein you work a shift and can get paid 50% the next day. If you enjoy working for yourself and getting to choose when and where you work, this is the perfect agency for you. A suggestion for improvement: I will often notice that other staffing agencies are offering several dollars more per hour in wages than Shiftmed for work at the same facility. If Shiftmed could boost their pay by jusr $2-$3 dollars per hour, they would be more competitive with other agencies and people would be more likely work more shifts through them. At the same time, those other possibly higher-paying agencies are still requiring things like hand-filling out a time slip and faxing it at the end of each week. ShiftMed is more simple and does not have any kind of hassle like that. Also, the higher-paying agencies have higher cancellation rates, their lists of available shifts aren’t as up to date. Shiftmed has a very low cancellation rate and the shifts you select will almost always be up to date.

Trust me, this app is not worth your time. These people will scam you. First off, the onboarding process is unnecessarily tedious and long. Even when you have all of your credentials, it’ll take them “3 business days” to verify only ONE document at a time. Live chat is a hot mess as well. You have no way to start a new chat with a different agent, you just have to send a message to the same chat and HOPE someone gets back with you. Not good if you need answers immediately. You could call customer service, but they’re not helpful at all and hardly understand English. Zero problem solving skills whatsoever. After waiting like 2 weeks just to get verified, you’ll see that all of the “shifts” you were able to see before becoming active are no longer there. It took 48 minutes of me being on a phone call with an agent to tell me that it’s apart of Shiftmed’s “marketing tactic.” So scamming people is apart of your marketing tactic? Before becoming verified, I saw 66 shifts that were in cities near mine. They had the name of the facility, the pay rate, the date of the shift posted, and a button next to it that lets you “claim” the shift. The agent on the phone tried to gaslight me and talk to me as if I’m stupid. I tried to be understanding and polite at first, but ended up losing my patience because this is just ridiculous. I am a mother and I have a family I need to provide for. Lying like this is honestly just sick in my opinion. So if you made it this far reading my review, do yourself a favor and take my advice. THIS APP IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. These people will lie to you and scam you.

I once signed up for a week's worth of shifts to guarantee income for that period but then accepted FT employment and canceled the shifts. It was more than enough time for other people to recover the shifts. I had also previously canceled future shifts with a facility after they canceled on me twice, once after showing up and I didn't get any compensation for that. So, on my part however, all of this was considered violations. It was a year or two later when I came back to the app to pick up a shift to find that they beat up my rating impeding my ability to claim shifts ( the violations never reset), they also added various road blocks to my account making me ineligible for even more shifts without jumping through hoops, which by the time you're finish the act, of course the shifts won't be available. This contradicts the on-demand model. The last time I returned to shiftmed, which was most recently, they set my account to only see shifts 80+ miles away & told me those were the only facilities that have posted for help, except not only was I not allowed to claim a shift that was more than 72 hrs in advance but I could only work at these facilities after completing an orientation. I inquired for help & each time the CS eerily pretended to help me or manually set me up for an orientation only for that to never happen. Instead of toying with me, why not terminate my account? They end every conversation with an insincere "we're so glad we could help you, you're the most important part of Shiftmed, have the most wonderful day," or something of the sort ( even though they're notably not helping me), plus an infamous exclamation mark to add more salt! They are very sadistic, unreasonable, and a waste of time.
