GoodLinks is fast, private and solid. I like where this is going. They've added nearly every missing feature that has been highly requested since the 1.0 and I'm excited for that to continue.Biggest missing feature so far is a good way to manage, edit, and organize tags & links in bulk. You can only select one link at a time and it's hard to tell what is downloaded and manage what link is downloaded. Similar with bulk editing of tags if they were drag & droppable, allowing for a hierarchy of tags and sub-tags, I think it would really help users with hundreds of links.
Search has changed... not for the better.
TexasYankeeATX
Up until recently I was able to search for a word and any article that had the word would show up in the Links column. It worked like a filter to only show relevent articles. This was so very helpful for quickly searching topics and showing articles that I could skim though quickly by just tabbing down through the displayed results. What happened to that?! Now I do a search and recieve a popup list and can only view one article and select one article. I am then forced to research again to find a second article. So annoyed and saddened by that as I was using Goodlinks as a repository of my articles and almost like a second brain. That usefullness has been removed. I had also used search to help with filtering articles that I would then select all and give a tag to. That usefullness is now also gone. So sad.
Developer Response
Thanks for your feedback. The old search will be restored in the upcoming 3.1 update.
The perfect Read-It-Later App
KiranSS
Found it to be perfect replacement to Pocket which was my go to Read-It-Later app. Have tried quite a few alternate apps (Instapaper, Flyleaf, Raindrop, etc) which seemed to be limited in their features and/or overpriced (with a high monthly subscription)Works seamless across my Apple devices (Mac, iPhone). The imports, saves, highlights, etc syncing between the devices without any gaps. The Developer is very responsive and addresses feature requests quite quickly (implemented a requested import feature in less than a week)
Not a Huge Fan

It has a great UI but the manner in which bookmarks is completely nuts…tagging? Really? Tagging only works if you sit down before you even have your stack of tools and predetermine a specific nomenclature to be consistently used throughout, which is just a nonsensical, unrealistic proposition. All any developer needs to do is take a bookmark bar and make it an extension and you will dominate the market. Since I guess it also acts as a reader tool, there should be a way to take notes….and, finally, I wish it was more compatible with Apple’s share extension. I mean the Raindrop developer is probably making $ hand over fist and his product really isn’t even that good.

- Added options to customize the appearance of read links.
- The article viewer now displays the publication date when available.
- Improved support for RTL languages.
- Bug fixes.
