This app is not yet as well-known as some of the most popular charting apps, but I think that will quickly change. I decided to try the free trial because I heard so many great things about it and the Kindara (which I had been using) customer service seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. I have been so amazed by the Read Your Body app, and I don’t mind paying for it at all. It is insanely customizable, like 1000x more than any other app. Do you chart with sympto-thermal, Creighton, Marquette, or anything else? You can use this app! Or if you aren’t following a specific method, you can customize it in any way that works best for you. The app doesn’t make predictions, and it’s so nice to not have an app annoyingly predict your cycle incorrectly, especially when you have irregular cycles. The company is a non-profit that has better data privacy than any charting app I’ve seen. The customer service is amazing. They respond super quickly, are really on top of fixing bugs, and respond to user feedback. The app has a nice design with a clean, modern look. I was able to import all my charts from Kindara, so if you think it’s too much of a pain to switch, it may be easier than you think. I can’t wait to see this app grow and change over the years. It’s truly an amazing product.
Best Charting App

I love the customization features and I love that that the people behind this app listens to its users. It is the best one I’ve used so far. As a new user and a new charter the amount of customization at your disposal can feel kind of overwhelming. When I first downloaded the app I hated it and I felt super overwhelmed. I was previously a Kindara app user. I ended up going back to Kindara for a while. I loved the layout of Kindara but I felt limited by their customization options…and I was on the fence about their “premium” version and the price tag of it 🥴. So I buckled up and decided to give RYB another chance because $15/yr vs $50/yr seemed like a no brainer choice lol Fast forward and it’s been almost 3 yrs since I switched to exclusively using RYB and it’s grown on me. I’ve loved seeing the updates. Yay for Dark Mode haha, and I can’t wait to see all of the upcoming features. Do I wish RYB released updates more often? Of course, but I understand they’re working on a lot of things behind the scenes to give its community what they’re asking for. Are there features I’m impatiently waiting for? Absolutely, but at the current moment the app is doing exactly what I want. The customization of the whole app also has helped make it (for me) a smooth transition from being a TCOYF charter to being a Sensiplan charter.
Excellent support, not a crutch

I LOVE this app, and that it integrates with tempdrop. It’s easy to use, customizable, and as a combo with tempdrop is so much easier than the previous bbt thermometers I used to use!!!I read that the app is working on a predictive feature. I actually personally love the lack of predictive features, and hope that I can turn off any future predictive features. Why would I NOT want a predictive feature? 😅 This is my main method of birth control and it’s therefor extremely important I interpret my chart accurately. While predicting my period wouldn’t necessarily throw this off, predicting when I will ovulate definitely could (NOTE: I don’t know if the app plans to predict ovulation! I just read that it plans to predict periods). It’s very easy to rely on app’s to predict our bodies for us but this isn’t the FAM method (I am educated on the fertility awareness method); this is much closer to the rhythm method which I’ve learned not to trust as much as my own interpretation of *current* not past data. That said, it’d be so cool if:1) I could pull my Sleep Score from Tempdrop, too. I currently add the number manually, which is not a big deal.2) The Stats section quantified my custom notes; e.g. cramps typically recorded day 1-2, insomnia typically toggled on Day 15, etc. (Note, I don’t see this as a predictive feature. I view it as a way to quantify past data to help with interpretation). In any case, LOVE the app. Good job 👏

Thanks so much for this fantastic review and for sharing your thoughts on possible future features! You can view our interactive future features roadmap here: https://readyourbody.com/future-features/We have no plans to offer any predictions or auto-interpretations. The app is a versatile data recording tool that supports fertility awareness charting and symptoms / lifestyle tracking. We are considering possibly offering optional period forecasts which would be defaulted to off and would be based on average luteal phase length once ovulation is confirmed. This potential future feature (not yet confirmed) has been highly requested by our community for lifestyle planning purposes only. As charters ourselves though we very much understand how important it is to be tracking the unfolding of our menstrual cycles in real-time without any predictions so the app will never attempt to offer ovulation predictions as this is indeed entirely contrary to the ethos of fertility awareness charting and also outside the scope of the app as a data recording tool. Hope this helps to know! Happy to share that custom info stats is a future feature that we hope to deliver after fertility awareness-based method settings templates and a dedicated partner app for real-time chart sharing. We definitely appreciate how useful it would be to be able to visually compare trends across cycles and we look forward to delivering this! Thanks again for your kind feedback and support :)
Updated RYB App

I’ve been using the app since May. The version I started with was great! It was updated about a month ago and I’m not impressed. The icons on the daily charting all changed, which isn’t a huge deal but I thought the previous version was fine and I feel like I still haven’t adjusted to the new one. It’s been long enough I can’t entirely remember the previous version, but this new one feels like everything is bigger, so I have to do more scrolling to chart and notate in certain areas each day. But my biggest issue is how much slower this all is and how frequently it asks for my encryption key. I certainly don’t mind security, but whenever the prompt is there it seems to further slow down the apps ability to load the chart. It’s a small complaint, I know. But, compared to how quickly the previous version would load, this one seems slower. I’m also just not a big fan of change! But if the change had led to a more visually appealing design and kept the same speed, I wouldn’t mind so much. It’s just my opinion though! The purpose of the app and the affordability of the app are excellent and I will continue to use it. But hopefully the creators will see this review and reconsider some of the recent changes to the app - or at least speed it up!

Hi there, thanks so much for this thoughtful review! We're sorry to hear that you're not appreciating some aspects of the app's recent design upgrade. Happy to let you know that following feedback received from our community, we're currently working to make the data screen much more compact to reduce the need for scrolling. With regards to slow screen loading and excessively frequent encryption key prompts, please can you reach out to us at hello@readyourbody.com so that we can troubleshoot and support in depth in response to these issues? Slow screen loading may well be possible to resolve through a simple app reset! Thanks for your kind support and we're indeed listening to all feedback, and we're here to make your app experience even smoother :)
Updated with minor bug fixes (payment screen logging)
