With just a few clicks you can buy the hvv Deutschlandticket (from May 1st also the discounted hvv Deutschlandticket for seniors with residence in Hamburg) in the app and start your journey straight away. Get access to all public transport in Germany, including regional services. If you live in Hamburg, you only pay for the days you use in the first month. In the hvv switch app you can manage your contract directly.
Order a mobile ticket & pay conveniently
Whether it’s a short journey, single ticket or day pass – the app automatically suggests the right ticket for your journey. Save 7% on most tickets when you buy in the app and pay securely via PayPal, SEPA or credit card. Your ticket is available instantly in the app and can also be added to your wallet.

With Free2move, SIXT share and MILES you’ll always find the right car near you. MILES charges by the kilometre, while SIXT share and Free2move charge by the minute. Too complicated, not much information for a 180MB App

I have no idea, where the 180mb of download go. The app is incredibly complex. It needs all kind of information like email, names, address, credit card before anything works. While you spend 15 or 20 minutes to set up everything, your buses pass and you keep missing them. The local ticket machines just take cash too, traveling in Hamburg is the most inconvenient way that we experienced so far. In the end, we didn’t and just rode the bus. The ticket system is intransparent. Which ticket do I need to buy? local trip, short trip or single ticket? To figure it out the app needs your phone number additionally. Could not add the number due to server errors. Why do you need to phone number for me to figure out, which ticket do I need? Why not you are here, you want to go there, it’s this ticket, how many do you want? I didn’t know how such an easy thing, can be messed up that badly. Highly disappointed and a huge waste of time.

Horrible connection

I was stopped to show my valid Deutschlandticket and when I showed the officer it logged me off. Then it wouldn’t let me log back on because of an error. I almost got a fine for not having a ticket. Luckily I had email showing my receipt. What’s the point of having this app if it’s not going to do what it was made to do!?
