This app has been excellent, at least until recently. They made some major back end changes that affected the way progress was calculated, which reset all of my progress. It is unfortunate, but it seems as if it will be a good adjustment for their customers, overall (they are very professional and responsive from their support teams). It won't affect anyone that subscribes and starts after they made the changes, but for someone like me that was over 51% of my way through, I have to start over if I want to show it at 100% (which I will probably finish anyway). I used this and the Ham Study app, and I already passed and received my Technician's License exam, but I had wanted to finish it, for purposes of the satisfaction of the visual indicator of the hard work and study I put in. I emailed support and was assured it was a benefit, over the long haul. They also gave me a 10% off coupon for something on their website, which I'm eyeballing. Hopefully I can catch myself up to where I want to be, but I do have my Technician's license already, so maybe I'll just skip onto the General now and review the Technician's material later. Thanks to Ham Radio Prep for being so professional and responsive. Not including a few pieces of feedback I offered, I adjusted my rating to 5 stars. They were incredibly empathetic to my frustrations and top notch for receiving my feedback.

I used this app to get my technician license less than two years ago. A few weeks back I decided to finish general and hopefully extra. I’m a little over half way through the general sections and I’m still impressed how great this course is. The cost of the course, which includes all three licenses, is well worth ever penny. I own the ARRL books, but I’ve always picked up things better when someone explains it to me. I go through about a section of the course per day, and randomly take a test or two from a section I’ve already completed to reinforce what I’ve already learned.His presentation of the material is straight forward, and he’s got a great speaking voice. Would highly recommend this to anyone who’s looking to get into the hobby or upgrade their current license. The course is giving me the the knowledge to choose the right setup, for long distance communications, after our move to Alaska next spring. Until then I’m enjoying exploring the airwaves with my FT5D.73 from KD9VYP!

I started using Ham Radio Prep back in June or July of 2022. I have always been an active listener of Nets and Hams via Scanners and had always wanted to get licensed and get on the air. I've used 2 way and CBs and Shortwave Equipment since I was a kid. So I started studying. The app made it easy. In Sept 2022 I passed my Tech license. Studied a bit more and got my General upgrade in October. I had initially planned to go all the way by the end of 22 but life and holidays got in the way, but I kept studying. Finally here in March 2023 I walked into my test with confidence and passed my extra with a 90%. I owe it all to all their books and the video courses. If you want to get your license and pass this program is it. You will pass and get on the air with HRP. 73s to you all, and Good Luck! Maybe I'll hear you on the air soon!

The App is a great memorization tool. I do not like the FCC’s regulation. Veterans need to be recertified to transmit on any frequency. When you already have the training needing this app in an annoyance. The app is great and has connections to the FCC; however, they do not proctor online examinations. The app also did not connect to the purchased content and videos I paid for. If I pass my test this app is great. I think the FCC needs to allow at least the technician course to be completed online. I learned that radio’s can be used to position interference. I am sure it can find a radio user that has been transmitting improperly/illegally. The app gave free access to the quiz portions and exams. Each give you multiple attempts and change answers that encourage learned material.
