New: You can now retrieve your medical records from more sources than ever, including any providers connected through TEFCA, Cures Gateway, and Epic MyChart.
- TEFCA (Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement) is a new nationwide initiative to make health data sharing easier and more secure. With just one click, you can request records from participating providers. No accounts or health system selection required.
- Cures Gateway enables access to regional Health Information Exchanges (HIEs). You simply choose your regional HIE, and OtisHealth fetches your records from providers connected to that network.
- Epic MyChart gives you direct access to your health records from participating hospitals and clinics, and OtisHealth will securely retrieve your records without the need to contact each provider individually.
This is part of a nationwide patient access initiative, and we invite you to be a part of it. As more people retrieve their health data, more providers and health systems are joining these networks, helping to grow and strengthen nationwide access to personal health information. I’ve been looking for a healthcare app for a long time… Ever since CareZone stopped existing. This was the closest app that I could find to CareZone (which I loved!) and I really thought it was going to work. I spent a long time entering all of my health information into the app. It was pretty easy to do. My problem is when I want to open the app it asks me to enter a verification code which they sent to my email. It takes more than 30 minutes for the email to come through! Yes, I have checked my junk mailbox! It’s not there. When it does finally come through if I don’t see it immediately then the five minute time limit on the code has expired! And so I have no choice but to ask for another verification code to be sent… Which doesn’t come through immediately. My sister has the app and doesn’t seem to have this problem. I’ve checked my settings and I don’t understand why I am having these problems. But the app is useless if I can’t get into it when I want to.

We’ve expanded our Retrieve My Medical Records feature! You can now connect to more health data sources, including TEFCA and Cures Gateway–affiliated providers. Plus, users with an Epic MyChart account can now log in and fetch their records directly into OtisHealth.
