This app gives great data, when it works. 7 times out of 10, it will crash after it pulls the data off the bat. And there is no way to look at “last data collected” or anything. Once you look at it, or the app crashes it’s gone forever. There is no way to back and look at prior data to compare it or anything. We just spent an hour in the cages, I pulled the data, the app crashed, and it’s gone. No information. I don’t understand how there is no option to view old data.

DK is a toy
TurkeyLeggOriginal
I read reviews. I read magazines articles about DK. I read comparisons between DK and Blast Motion. All I have to say is, DK must spend a ton of money to have these articles written. DK is a toy. Had it for a month now and I can honestly say I got duped. If your goal is to motivate you kid to swing at home and not just at baseball practice it might help. But if you’re looking for good data to base real improvement on or to track how a change to your swing affects speed, power, or any other metric, DK is definitely not the solution. It’s just not accurate enough. We did the home run derby at the field to compare real distance to the sensors determined distance. DK says 98’ hit when real distance cleared the fence (200’) off the tee. On top of the inaccuracy, they keep taking features away instead of adding them over time. The app is not very good either. It locks up in the middle of BP and you have to close it out and restart it. So if you’re trying to capture live BP data at practice, once you get the app working again, it starts trying to collect data right away while you’re trying to get the sensor set up for the correct player and correct bat which locks it up again…..using an iPhone 13 Pro with not much storage used. Been a disappointment.

Got my son excited to practice!
ed5040
It’s sometimes tough to convince my son to get a few swing reps in throughout the week, but the SwingTracker and app have made that job at least a little easier! He’s been enjoying the MLB home run highlights that the app shows and then heads to the tee to try and recreate with the Home Run derby game. He’s checked out a few of the lessons as well, they’re pretty solid and are a good fill in between team practices. Anything that gets my son in the mood to practice is a win in my book!

Terrible
Josh8368
Based on my experience, nothing good has come from this app. It takes at least 30 minutes to connect the bat sensor to the phone every single time you want to use it! The app is extremely slow and glitchy. Once I finally get the sensor to connect, the app will either completely crash, the sensor randomly disconnects losing all swings you just took, or it just won’t read and swings at all and constantly stuck on a loading screen. When the app crashes, you have to close the app and open it again which disconnects the sensor forcing you to take at least another 30 minutes. The technology in the sensor and app just doesn’t seem strong or stable.
