Downloaded this app to split the bill for a birthday brunch. A girl in the group recommended it. Good idea, but for an annual subscription of $45, I can do math myself. I saw there was a “free 3 day trial” and after taking care of the bill, I deleted my account so I wouldn’t be charged. However, I guess going into the app and deleting your account doesn’t work? After 3 days I got charged $45 for my “annual subscription.” Turns out you have to physically go into your settings and apps and cancel the subscription. Not sure why deleting my account after 1 day into the free trial didn’t work. So, I reached out to the support email to see if there was anything they could do to possibly reimburse me. $45 is not a small amount for something I will never use again. Never got a reply from the tech support and I thought at least I’d get a response saying they cannot refund me. Poor customer service and not clear on how to make sure you don’t get charged the subscription fee.
Hey, sorry you never got a response back from support. We actually never received your email, but could you send it again to feedback@splytpay.com so we can look into it and try to make this right for you? Also just for context, subscriptions, free trials, billing, and refunds are all handled directly by Apple through your App Store settings. We unfortunately don’t have the ability to cancel or refund subscriptions on our end, even if you contact us, since Apple manages the entire billing flow.Really appreciate you trying the app out and taking the time to leave feedback.
