Fixed, almost, all my calendar/task issues

Let me start by saying I’ve tried every calendar/task manager/time clocking app that exists, and until now the price of Akiflow has scared me away from really giving it a good try. Well I pulled the plug and tried it and it has solved almost all my issues. There are just a small handful of things I’d love to see implemented:1. If I’m syncing todoist with multiple projects, I’d love to be able to separate the projects and not have them all in one list - with this comes if I move a task from a project to a different one, it should sync that way. And third, if I create a task in Akiflow, it should also be added to todoist. There are not deal breakers because I do have ways around, it would just be nice to have proper sync. 2. Swiping works, but the day page is blank until you release and resets - this is messing with my ADHD. There’s a small “refresh” that happens instead of having the data already there like in literally every other calendar app. This is not a deal breaker for now, but I’m not sure I can get used to it since, again, all other apps are more smooth within this category. 3. I’m sure this is being worked on, but, the app tends to have features stop working, like drag and drop tasks onto calendar, or move an event, and I have to force quit the app and reopen it and then it just works again. 4. Request, not an issue - support attachments and rich content like map templates etc. if someone send me a calendar event and there’s a document attached (mainly Google doc), it would be nice to have that attachment supported - this is different than an embed link. Quite honestly, to me personally, if these 4 were solved, I could give up all other calendars and task apps that I use and it would be worth it.

Useful Features with Excellent Human Support and Onboarding

I’ve used a LOT of productivity apps over the years and while Akiflow had many of the standard features you’d expect, they have a few that stand out. Their “time block” feature is especially useful. It allows you to put time on your calendar and populate it with multiple tasks. They recently added a feature where you can see how much time is budgeted in that block based on the time you’ve assigned the tasks and workflows where tasks you didn’t complete in that block to move over to the next one. This is a really nice way to flip between list/tag-based task management and zero-based calendar management. Their customer service is exceptionally good. Be sure to take advantage of the onboarding call and productivity coaching sessions. This human touch is why I cancelled my other services and switched to Akiflow as my main system. Having a video call when I’m stuck or overwhelmed has been a game changer!

This works for me. I am a marketing director with ADHD, I shell out big bucks in desperation to have some sort of control of my life. Paper planners don’t work for me because my life is too fast and the need for my personal and work calendar/tasks to be on ONE SPACE is crucial for me not to go insane. I used to pay for Motion, for 2 years …price went up for features I feel like nobody asked for and it p*ss3d me off. ANYWAY. After month of exploring I finally chose Akiflow (I was in between Sunsama and Akiflow). Decided on Akiflow for 2026. Feels and looks easy enough to use, but complex enough to handle my needs - my rec: WATCH THE TUTORIALS (i avoided them lol, thinking I would figure everything out on my own, but I watched the videos and was like “ohhhhhhh, this thing is great”. ONE THING FOR DEVs - I wish there was a feature to split big tasks up into multiple days better, instead of manually breaking it up. :-) otherwise, great!!! Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

A must-have for founders and devs

Akiflow has become an essential part of my stack. The AI features aren’t a gimmick and genuinely improve how I manage my workload. The integrations are top-tier. I’m not aware of an alternative that comes close to from an integration standpoint at the time I’m leaving this review. There are a few features would take this from great to irreplaceable:1) Project archiving: Right now, old projects clutter the view and AI automatically assigns tasks to these projects. At my task volume, the project feature isn’t usable unfortunately. If we could sync projects from our task management platform, or even pull in a project field to be used in filtering, that would be ideal. If we could at least archive projects, the AI task assignment would become useful at least. 2) Deeper Notion integration: Being able to sync related Notion projects—especially for sorting/filtering tasks—would add tremendous value. Bonus points if I could also create pages directly within my Notion task database from Aki.3) Browser-based notifications: I run the app in my browser so I can leverage time tracking chrome plugins. It would be great to get notifications without having to keep the desktop app open. Overall, this is one of the few productivity tools I genuinely enjoy using every day. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves.
