I have a basic house cat, but unfortunately all the breeds listed for the pet profiles are all purebred types. So if you have a mutt, you’ve gotta select a random breed. Not sure if it really matters, but it’s a little annoying that one of the most common cat types (domestic short/medium/long hair) is not an option.The app still doesn’t have a 12-hour clock, so it goes by 24-hours as is common in other parts of the world. For US users, this is super inconvenient. I’ve made a suggestion using the form through the app, however months later and they still haven’t made any updates. It’s obviously possible to do this, as you can switch the weight/measurement units between KG and LBS.The app isn’t anything special but it works for the functions related to auto cleaning. If you’re trying to actually monitor your cat’s usage, it’s not really helpful. Especially if you have multiple cats with similar weights, if the unit is placed on carpet, or the unit is on a platform on carpet. My cat is 11 lbs according to a recent vet visit, but it’s still registering her as 8-10lbs.

I have two boxes one is from a different brand and the app is absolutely terrible but the box is great. The meowant box 02 is ok. The app is amazing. it has a few deficiencies like you can’t remove any low weights. To me that’s minimal at least this app notifies me every time they go to the bathroom. And I get to have a name with their weight. It’s not a $700 box so you can’t expect perfection but it does the job. I’m happy with it. I’ve just noticed that two or three times now it didn’t clean after my cat left the box so I had to do it manually. I’ve only had the box for about four weeks now, but I will update this review if I can.Update: the app is terrible. I cannot get it to work. I keep on getting a network issue. I’ve tried resetting everything and I can’t get it to work. The box itself is great but the reason for the three stars is because of the app. Meowant PLEASE FIX THE APP.

Loved my first Meowant Litter Box, back to buy a second one. We lost our cat to age and gave away our first box to a friend who is so happy with it even after using it for a year. Three weeks ago our veterinarian called and now we have a new cat, he was rehomed due to his human’s health. 13 years old and was so eager to get in the box, he had used it before I had gotten the waste bag installed! One of the first things I did when he arrived was to order the Meowant Automatic litter box. Works great, just like the first one. Installed the app and now we are set for the future. He is so fascinated with this new technology that he sits in front of it and stops it a number of times as it is trying to make the cleaning cycle. He’ll get bored watching it in a few days. lol. I’ve had the “. . . Robot” and many other automated litter boxes, Meowant is the absolute best. I’m not computer savvy, but this app is easy to install and use! Thanks for making an excellent product all around.

>18 September 2025< This app is well designed and easy to use. We have had 2 of our boxes for 2 years, the app and the boxes have worked flawlessly. The one time the app didn't update properly was a quick and easy fix, I just Offloaded the app in iPhone (Settings/General/iPhone Storage/AirPet/Offload) and then tapped the icon too reload it. It reconnected immediately with all data intact. Most likely this wasn't AirPet's fault anyway, I had also updated the iOS. (Oldest and most important rule, 1st Reboot.) "Company is Responsive" We have cats, and often we have fosters. I had requested that the app have the capacity for more cat individual cat IDs so we could follow each cat's health and growth via their changing weight. The company responded by increasing the number of cat IDs! Bravo! Thank you for listening! Many companies could learn much from these guys.FYI: We have 4 AirPet/MeoWant enclosed boxes of 2 different designs all connected to the same app without any irritation or drama. The boxes are quiet, reliable, easy to clean, safe/safer than most, and the scales are accurate on level hard floors. (If your weight isn't accurate, set the base on a leveled 24 x 24 x .75" piece of plywood.) Replacement parts are available, and you can purchase 2 years extra warranty to give you a total of 3 years. Unheard of in the industry.Again, two of these guys have already lasted a year longer than our much more expensive insanely inconvenient Robot, if you have cats you know who I ref.
