The pocket sprite editor for PICO-8. Copy a sprite on your Mac, edit it on your iPhone, paste it straight back.
Pixel Edit Lite is a small, touch-first pixel art and sprite editor for iPhone. Draw with your finger, work offline, and create retro sprites whenever inspiration strikes.
Work on a single sprite or build out a full sprite sheet — navigate between sprites, duplicate them, and copy and paste between sprites. Pixel Edit Lite is intentionally simple. No complicated desktop-style workflow — just a small pixel editor you can keep with you when you're away from your computer.
I recently started using Pixel Edit Life as a medium for my hobby and I’m seriously impressed with its simple and user-friendly interface. It has the tools that are necessary for any sort if pixel artwork, making it easy to bring my pixel art visions to life. The app’s grid system ensures precise and accurate shapes that can be easily drawn with the swipe of a finger. I highly recommend Pixel Edit Lite for anyone interested in pixel editing, whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out.

Developer Response
Great to hear! Hope you make some amazing sprites too
Just what I needed

This is a perfect minimalistic easel for me to capture my thoughts, iterate and discuss with my team. The touch is frictionless, though at times it picks the adjacent pixel, but I think it’s because of my fat thumb. Good job!
Simple and fun

I really like how simple it is. The limited palette and pixel style make it easy to create something without getting overwhelmed.
• Redesigned Shape Tools: The Shape Tool now features a contextual, inline menu! Quickly swap between lines, rectangles, and circles, and toggle "Fill" mode without taking your focus
off the canvas.
• Dynamic Tool Colors: Your active drawing tools (Pencil, Fill, and Shape) now dynamically light up to reflect your currently selected palette color!
• New Quick Actions: Added native context menus for faster workflows. Long-press the Eraser to instantly Clear Canvas, or long-press your active Sprite Thumbnail to Duplicate it.
• Minor UI polish, accessibility improvements for VoiceOver users, and under-the-hood performance updates.
