I am in a wheelchair. 98% of the time the bus drivers are amazing with me, and if I am traveling with someone they usually charge them half price and I don’t have to pay. Although I do not mind paying the transit fee. One time it was pouring and I had 7 bags of groceries in my lap and on my wheelchair. It was nearing the end of the shift and Nasir asked me if I minded following him to the depot. He had to go to his second shift driving flex. Although I lived in scotia and he knew he would probably get it trouble, he moved my stuff and myself to the Flex bus and then he drove me to my house and helped me unload and made sure I was inside and safe before leaving. He had to be maybe 23. CDTA has gotten so much better and convenient. Almost always on time or early rarely late. Not to say there aren’t a few sour apples on the tree but most of the drivers are polite helpful courtesy and just….awesome. Please BE KIND TO THE DRIVERS! THEY ARE HUMANS TO AND NOT ALL PASSANGERS ARE PLEASANT, NOT ALL OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD ARE SAFE, CURIOUS, AND LETS FACE IT 90% OF THEM ARE DISTRACTED OR IN A HURRY TO GET TO… WELL… AN EARLY GRAVE FOR THEMSELVES OR OTHERS. It’s free to be kind!!!!! Thank you bunches to all the pleasant, kind, and courteous employees of our public transit system!!!! BY THE WAY TIPS ARE A NICE GESTURE, A COFFEE, GIFT CARD TO DUNKIN OR STEWARTS OR STARBUCKS. A little something is always kind welcomed and thoughtful!

I have been riding cdta for many years now and the one thing I can say is that CDTA sticks to their bus schedules which is very helpful when planning a trip or having to get to work everyday. I also appreciate the early morning bus routes I’m talking the 4:45am and 5:00 am bus routes I can’t tell you how helpful that is to those of us that start work early. I’m back on cdta after losing my car. I’m so blessed to have an express bus stop five feet directly from my apt or I can walk fifteen feet to the other street and catch the local 85 to and from work. I get to the supermarket with my shopping cart and back home so easily and I can depend on the bus schedule. CDTA is truly the best. Thank you.

This service is great I love it , it is so useful to me when I need to get from one place to another when there is no bus route to those places this comes in handy and lest inexpensive , one thing I will like to point out that I have experience when using this service is communication, I would love for the navigation app to have an option where by you can send a text or a call to the driver that would be picking you up , for eg , I would be at crossgate ctda bus stop waiting for the flex bus to pick me up but then I will receive a msg saying the ride was cancel by the driver that’s because the driver went to the other side of crossgate mall rd and I’m waiting by the bus stop so a send a text msg option would be great to let the driver know hey I’m by the CDTA bus stop side , or hey I’m just getting for the 114 , 12 , 10 whatever the case is so the driver doesn’t leave if he don’t see the person he picking up and then have to coming back at a later time he can just waiting cause the person let him know their 1 mins away that will save time .

This public transportation system is an absolute joke of a service.The drivers either come late or early and sometimes you’ll be outright ignored at a stop and and left.This service is basically a gamble of maybe making it to your destination, late or early and in some cases not at all.I absolutely hate this poor excuse of a service and I feel sorry for anyone who has to actually rely on them for transportation anywhere.If there was any other option for a public transportation service, other than being absolutely robbed by Uber or Lyft, I would never give any business to CDTA.Not to mention, that more than half of the drivers for CDTA do not know how to drive the vehicle. The drivers drive too fast and you have to deal with constantly being break checked, which is an awful experience.If you take care of any elderly people, whether it be friends or family, do not let them use this service because they’re safety will be in jeopardy, due to the constant break checking and reckless driving by the majority of the CDTA drivers.I sincerely hope that this company goes out of business, or that maybe they can find a way to hire drivers that actually care even 1% about their passengers and their job.If I could give them less than one star I would.The bottom line is that you should do your absolute best to avoid using this service or giving this company any business until they either go out of business or find competent drivers.
