Follow up to this rating. A few days later the update was modified however it’s not much better. The only improvement is that the appointments are not double stacked but only when in the week view so I’ll bump it up to a 2 star. They still are double stacked in the day view. It all looks so confusing. Just looking at my day gives me a headache. I’m still very disappointed and as much as I hate to start over I am researching other options. They should undo the updates. It was way better and more user friendly before. DI loved this app until the recent update (October 2020)!! My appointment book now looks busy and confusing. The color scheme options only changes the color of the time of day and thin line indicating the time of day that runs through the day. Before the update the background was included in the color making it very visually appealing and easy to see the days and times. Another huge problem is clients that overlapped still showed in one column. I could manipulate the booking times so that the column was clean. Now they all look like their all double booked. As a result I’ll have to click on the day to really see where my potential times to book clients. Previously I was able to clearly see an entire week at once. The entire calendar page was much more visually appealing. Very disappointing. If this isn’t resolved then I’ll definitely make a change. As much as a pain that it would be. Terrible!

I have used Vagaro for a year now and have used it at another establishment prior to owning my own business. I find it to be user friendly, anticipates what needs I will have, and covers every need I could think of. It talks to so many other programs too and is easy to incorporate into a website, also they offer you a website!! The reports are easy to run, and customize and so are the client assessment forms and consent forms for customers. It is easy for online to book or from my computer or phone too. I have been able to truly make it my own it works with and for your business and helps ease your mind in so many ways! Also a lot of people have an account already and it will find the person or duplicates. There are so many other attributes on here I have yet to even explore and work with which I am adding as I need them in my business’s progression. The cc processing is also cheapest I think that o have done research wise on the front and back end as a merchant offer. Also the fact they work with AFFIRM is fantastic saving me from having to pay care credit or deal with patient Fi or cherry. It’s easy to be paid and add anything that I need or want. I’m super appreciative to this company and their customer service as well too notch, I am incredibly grateful. Thank you for helping me grow my business and being my right hand people in a business of just myself it’s like I have a team behind me! Thanks!

I’m opening my own salon suite rental and Vagaro is the booking app my studio rental company recommended. So far, I am enjoying the overall template and how easily customizable everything is. I also love that you can choose from multiple payment collection options. I especially love the “pay later” feature, as I *know* I’ll have clients who will love that option for investing in their more expensive hair services. One of the only real issues I’ve come across so far is that Vagaro works well from the app on my phone, but acts weird when I use it on my computer. I can customize my calendar from the mobile app, but when I try to adjust anything on the calendar from the computer, it says I am not authorized to make changes to the calendar and insists I have to adjust “Access Levels” in Settings. There is obviously nothing wrong with my “access level”, or my mobile app wouldn’t let me customize my calendar either! If the program worked more consistently across both the app and browser formats, I’d like it a lot more. I prefer working from my computer screen for certain things, so it drives me a little bonkers being forced to do everything from my mobile phone. Outside of a few minor inconveniences like this though, Vagaro overall has been really great & super straight forward to set up. I also love that I can upload photos right to my booking page to correlate with the services I offer! Clients love that. It’s also great that you can adjust your “Reviews” setting to only allow verified customers to leave reviews.

At the time of writing this I have been using Vagaro for maybe 3 months or so for my massage business. As an independent business some features are highly important and necessary to keep things moving, I really like how Vagaro is an “all in one” kind of application. For instance, all metrics of income tracking, all types of transactions are organized and tracked and I don’t have to use any other apps. There are some features that I have requested that I think are just necessary: instead of in person having to put their card info in manually there SHOULD be an option toCapture the card info by swiping / tapping / inserting just like square does. I feel that is just a simple quality of life feature, yes I am aware clients can do that themselves that is not the point. There are some nit picky things I have to say about the membership set up as well, it should be customizable and streamlined and able to make it a $ off benefit and not just confined to using a percentage, also bundling a membership with a certain amount of services per month or something would be a great addition, as being a massage business that is really the only thing that makes sense for creating a membership. Other than those things and maybe some other small things that I can’t think of right now, Vagaro is a great app for a small business and streamlines a lot of info and capabilities that I prefer to be able to control as a business owner and would recommend this app. I will bring this review to 5 starts if my above concerns are ever met, I have also put in those feature requests.
