Vestiaire took the place of The RealReal a while back for me. TRR only allows items in your bag/cart to remain for twenty minutes, while Vestiaire lets you leave them there as long as you’d like. I keep items in my cart as a short list version of the wishlist and liked items, they’re easier to find that way. Speaking of easy to find; a great addition would be filtering your wishlist and liked items! I am fashion obsessed (as are many people using the app), so I like and save quite a number of items, and sorting them would be a time saving process. I also wish there were an option to message a seller privately for more information and communication. I recently contacted a seller about an item I purchased because there was a mixup when it was shipped. The conversation being available to the public seemed a bit awkward, but the seller has been nothing short of amazing at staying in contact. As far as issues with a purchase go, the Vestiaire team is TOP NOTCH. Though I was in communication with my seller about the mixup and shipping updates, the Vestiaire team emailed me notifying about how the allowed time to ship an item before an automatic refund had lapsed. I would be refunded in a matter of days if I do not receive my item, and was given a discount on my next purchase because of the troubles. Over all, great app! A few minor adjustments would make this the perfect online shopping experience. Will continue to use for years to come.
Good Product Options but HORRIBLE Customer Service

At first, I loved shopping on Vestiaire - they have good product options over a variety of sellers and types of products. But BEWARE, they have the worst customer service out of any platform I have ever seen. I purchased a product that, shortly after purchasing I realized was gravely misrepresented in the listing (I basically thought I was buying a purse and it was in fact the size of my palm”. I reached out to Vestiaire immediately about the issue to see if we could cancel the order before the item was shipped. I was told that, although they agree that the item was misrepresented, the Seller is the only one that can cancel the order. I reached out to the seller and she refused to cancel in order not to hurt her “selling reputation”. Once I actually received the item, I reached out to Vestiaire again. I have been tossed around with about 5 representatives for a complaint that I filed. Finally after days, they just told me that they agree the item is misrepresented but I didn’t reach out within 72 hours of receiving the item so there’s nothing that they can do. Plus, I reached out before the item was even shipped. Many other sites will give you a one time leeway but not here!Anyways, what I am saying is you can find some good stuff on this site. There’s also a chance that you will pay $300 for a keychain that fits absolutely nothing. If you have money to waste, go for it.

I used to be a fan of Vestiaire but first their app is terrible, if you do saved searches, it doesn’t really update on the searches you get notifications for right away by the time you go click items are gone. It’s constantly spamming you. If you sell they are constantly bothering you to lower your prices, their commission fees are high, on top of that you can correct your listings and it doesn’t let you add more photos like it kinda picks what it wants, which if you are trying to sell / buy an item is better to have as many photos of it as possible with the item worn! I had an issue recently with buying a pair of shoes that when I got them they were not the size marked in the shoe, I contacted costumer service, which is the worst, every time you get a response from a different person who seems to not have an idea of what you are contacting them about, their only job is basically to tell you “our experts have refused your claim and request for a return” only to then offer you “re-list your item for sale on your account with small amount of selling fee” not even for free, you pay for this quality control and they can’t bother to check something very important that the size is correct. If you google this company they have terrible reviews.

So a friend of mine recommended this app. She is a seamstress who makes very expensive wedding gowns. My grandmother passed away, and she had a pair of Ferragamo boots, never worn that she had bought, and I asked my friend where is the best place to sell them. She recommended this app so I went to the pains of opening an account. Downloading the app filling out all the information that they asked for size description, pictures, which I included pictures with the box of course I don’t have the receipt because my grandmother is dead and they rather than send me an email and say hey can you please contact us they just went ahead and closed my account basically saying that they couldn’t verify the validity of the purchase, and that I would have to send in a receipt or proof of purchase. So when you click on the form to have them review, of course, it brings you to the app which you cannot sign into because it’s deactivated contact us from their website does the same thing. Obviously, they did not read the description or did not care but basically I sent the pictures very thorough pictures and these are brand new. I’m not that stressed about it because I can certainly still be some other place but I thought I would just let people now that it is a waste of time. So this is clearly not for regular people selling stuff it is for businesses or people that have receipts for things so I assume like if you had some thing vintage, they would want your proof of purchase to?! Totally ridiculous waste of time.
