UPDATE: The very day I posted the initial review in September, I was contacted by the app support team. They have been incredibly helpful and diligent in troubleshooting my problem. I have been in constant contact with regions mobile app support team and am incredibly thankful for their hard work to resolve my problem. Thank you so much!Since the last update three weeks ago, I have not been able to select the the option to deposit. It always says, “Unable to process request at this time”. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app several times and have also reached out to regions to try to fix the problem. Unfortunately, every person I have contacted was unable to understand my issue stating they couldn’t see any deposit attempts. Of course they can’t see any deposit attempts, IT WONT LET ME SELECT THE OPTION TO DEPOSIT. I work from 7-5 every day during the week and cannot physically make it to the bank to deposit my checks. I have tried finding the right people to contact to help me fix this for the past three weeks, and this is the only other way I can think of to get in touch with the right people to fix this issue. I have depended on this app for a long time now and it has usually been excellent. I have never had any issues with it before. Please help me.

Overall, this app functions well enough for my purposes, but it’s clear that it is a phone app and was not more comprehensively designed for a tablet. Most notably, its inability to rotate between portrait and landscape views on my iPad is beyond frustrating. As a user, I check my bank and credit card accounts almost daily. Unfortunately, since downloading this new Regions app, I feel frustrated, annoyed, and increasingly irritated every time I’m forced to pull my iPad out of its stand and rotate it 90 degrees just for this one single app. No, it’s not the end of the world but it’s grating enough to leave me with a bad impression of Regions Bank. It’s like buying a new TV only to find that it doesn’t use a remote, or a new car that still uses a metal key for access instead of a key fob. Both items will still work but are unnecessarily inconvenient, limited, and disappointing. That’s exactly how I feel about this new app from Regions.

I have used multiple banks in the past and regions has taken first place for being the worst app known to man. And I will add, all of these issues have been since the new app version launched and NONE of the bugs have been fixed after weeks. Here are a few examples. I have downloaded, deleted, redownloaded, and somehow for weeks straight it tells me that it is unable to allow me to login. Then, randomly, it will allow me to login for a few days, and then go back to not logging me in. The second issue I have is for the short windows I am allowed to be logged in, it doesn’t allow me to switch from my personal bank account to the business bank account. Something I OBVIOUSLY NEED TO DO. I literally cannot press the button that allows me to switch it and it’s infuriating. Don’t even get me started on the check deposit feature. Because even though my checks are well lit, on a dark background, fitting exactly within their box, it never captures it automatically and I have to manually take the pictures and redo it multiple times before the app finally accepts it and sends it to a long review process. Now I will say, this might just be me! Maybe for some reason the app is completely terrible and only for me. But I strongly believe it’s not just for me. If you are thinking about moving to regions with a business account, don’t. They will do a terrible job handling your money with the tech they choose to use.

We just moved from Bank of America to Regions about 3 months ago. We are regretting this decision. We have continued to have issues with this app. It will not open. We also can not get on to any Regions Website from our laptop. What in the World is going on!? My husband or myself have not been able to access our accounts for 3 days this time! A few weeks ago it lasted for 7 days!! Before that it would be random days we couldn't get on. That is unacceptable. It's very frustrating. We have continued to go to the branch and they are of zero help! But what is funny is as soon as we walk into the branch the app opens! What is that all about?? We can see on different forums that this has been going on since at least 2013. I have called my carrier and all is good there. I have reached out to the 800# at regions and they have no idea either. We've deleted the app and reinstalled it, turned the phones, laptop off, restarted them but it doesn't help. I have no where else to turn for help with this. I don't want to change banks again! It's a ton off trouble to change everything over. We had BOA for 40 years and since mobile banking started we never once had an issue accessing our accounts with them. Why are we having this issue with Regions? I really wish someone at Regions would answer this question but no one seems interested enough to help us. I would like nothing better than to get this resolved. Like I said I do not want to change banks again but you leave me no choice if this doesn't get fixed. Can you help?
