Language settings are bizarre

The app is fine but it’s weird that it won’t let you choose languages other than those associated with the country you’re in. E.g. if you set your home location to the Netherlands, it doesn’t give you the option for any language other than Dutch. The help section is pretty useless too since it just sends you to a website which then reroutes you infinitely. But booking tickets is relatively painless. Just don’t try to do anything else. In response to the claim that the developers have provided: Yes, you do allow me to change the language. But you don’t let me change it to a language other than that of the selected country. E.g. if I change location to the Netherlands, I can’t pick English as my language. If I want pricing in Euros, I have to go with Belgian/English, which is just odd for an international travel app.

Force changes date of booking and cannot enter birthdate

Eurostar’s app and site (mobile and desktop, tried multiple browsers) change the date of the train I’m booking at the final stage of checkout. Glad I caught the change because the ticket would have been non-changeable. That aside, I’m unable to book on any device/channel because the birthdate fields do not hold my selections. I’m not sure how to explain this clearly without the visual but when I select a number in all three drop downs, they all start flashing spastically causing 1. The wrong birthday to be recorded and 2. Inability to move to the payment page (error message about required fields). This has been going on for a week so I’m guessing since it hasn’t been fixed yet it must not be a widespread issue. Otherwise, I’m not sure how any customers are managing to book trains. Feels like a priority 1 issue to me since it’s a complete blocker to booking a ticket. Please help! Thanks

No regard for customer service

7:08 train out of Amsterdam canceled. No one from Eurostar was available either at the station or via phone. Finally got a hold of Eurostar via phone when I was on 8:08 train and the person I talked to really didn't care that there are now two trainloads of customers trying to fit on one train. Also, no regard for those of us trying to make connecting trains as the response was, 'oh if you miss your train, just get on the next one'. Understand that there was an accident and major disruption throughout the system, but it behooves Eurostar in that situation to have all team members working to help customers who will be affected. There was no one at the Amsterdam station to help customers until 8:00 and they were woefully understaffed to meet the demands of the paying customer. Very disappointed in Eurostar and its crisis management and customer service.

I recently booked a ticket and selected a date for travel in my search....it does not automatically take you to the correct date in the results list and you might accidentally book on the wrong date if you don’t change it. And unless you booked a changeable fare you’ll be stuck with a change fee to fix it. 😂 that’s what happened to me. There ought to be a 24 hr change option...or even a 1hr change option since I discovered right away but only way to correct was a change fee. Otherwise this app is really nice and convenient option for ticket details and use while on the train.
