I have been using this app for about a year now. This is an Awesome app and a great newspaper . Just never had time to write a review because it was always being used. :)Easy to read, loads quickly, with a unique intuitive way of accessing articles from different sections of the paper.
Coverage for all of Lake County
Abandoned in Florida
I live in Florida now. I lived In Wauconda for my entire life until we moved 6 1/2 years ago. I have had the Daily Harold app on my ipad and phone for 20 years plus. I looked forward every morning to reading your paper with my morning coffee. I looked forward to being informed on “Lake county news” including Wauconda and other northwest suburban towns such as Fox Lake, Lake Zurich, Grayslake, and Waukegan to name a few. Now all I get in Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights, Naperville, and Des Plains. I want to see what is happening with Wauconda sports, but all I get is Fremd, Stevenson, Buffalo Grove and Wheeling. I have had my Herold app for more than 20 years but now the formate has changed. I called customer service to see if there was a different version I needed to switch to and was told “ it is what it is “! So sad that the northwest suburbs is being so neglected.
Next to being worthless

This is the first review I've written that I've given a one star rating. This app should be titled, "Selected Articles for Anyone". I originally subscribed to the Daily Herald paper version for seven days a week. I had frequent delivery issues so I changed the subscription to Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the digital subscription for Monday through Thursday. The original digital subscription subscription using the Olive Software was terrific. It was like reading the print version on the iPad. This app doesn't include many of the stories in the print addition. I don't even feel like I am reading the beloved Daily Herald print addition. There is no sense in reading the print addition at the barbershop and expecting to finish it with the app. I will stop my digital subscription very soon because this app is so disappointing. Shame on you Daily Herald staff. You really blew this one.
Performance improvement and bug fixes.
