So you like to do Chi gong or Nei gong stances or sitting postures. You may have 2 or more stances or postures you want to do in consecutive order. This app is for you. You can make a timer for setting up for your first posture the timer of the first posture in another time or after to give you time for the next posture for example (:20,3mins,:15,3mins) 20 seconds to set you up , 3 mins for the first posture then another 15 second timer to give you time to change into the next posture, then 3 mins for the second posture. This is just a example for extreme traditional martial arts enthusiast or professional athletes that wants to cut right to the chase while in airplane mode all business.
CANNOT DELETE ANYTHING
bparker86
I paid for "premium". But this app is beyond frustrating. Two key issues, but the one that really gets me all worked up is how terribly difficult it is to delete anything. If you added an extra interval by mistake, you are STUCK! Also, if you want to reduce the proliferation of unused timers ... can't delete those either! For "balance" they have a website that shows you how to do it. I read the online manual, and still can't get it to work. It really should NOT be this complicated or difficult. #2: This app can't add warm up or cool down sections that don't repeat themselves. The only thing that does not repeat is the "Countdown". But if you want say 5 intervals (30 second sprints followed by 2 minute walks), and end with a cool down, this app includes the cool down as part of the whole thing that repeats itself 5 times. Why do I want to "cool down" 5 times?!? Frustrating.CONCLUSION: Until the 2 issues are resolved, I can't recommend this app.
Best interval timer
em_suz
This is by far the best interval timer. I have tried more than 20 other timer apps and none of them work as well as Gym Boss. It is easy to use, make custom timers—and the infinite interval feature is unique and wonderful. When I did have trouble with the app, I contacted customer support, and within 2 hours, I had a personal response specifically addressing my issue—and solving it. Thank you Gym Boss for this wonderful app!
Landscape / portrait bugs

With interval timer running: (1) When switching to landscape orientation on phone, picking up the phone from the top left corner of the device will likely be detected as tapping the X to close the timer. Welp, which interval was I on and how many left to go? Not sure, since I unintentionally exited the timer. (2) I was picking up the phone to switch back to portrait orientation to check how many intervals remaining - since the remainder count is not visible on landscape mode. (3) And when the interval timer has started with phone on landscape orientation, when switching to portrait orientation the banner ad doesn't resize, so it blocks the X to exit the timer. Summary: these should be easy-ish bugs to fix, coupled with a good QA test cycle before releasing the update. It does seem in the quest to monetize the app via larger ads, the app usability (which is why we downloaded the app in the first place) has suffered. Still giving 3 stars despite the annoying bugs. Have been an app user for years and each time I regret updating the app, because it gets worse.
