written on: April 03, 2018As the title suggests, this was the year i brought this app and 2013 lives on through it! This one is definitely different from its sequel, being that this one i feel is a bit more strategic streamlined vs the sequel which is more tactical RPG. While the second continuation does greatly improve on a lot of things this has to accomplish that, it also discards some things from the first too. Such as the ability to have multiple small background info through it's different skins, some unit buildings that were essential to this game, and while this little annoyance is small it annoys me sometimes: units walked out from your castle instead of just popping in.Although the second one does look and is vastly improved, upon returning to this one, it did make me realize that i miss the unit buildings but, all these are just little observations.Overall, this is still a great game today and while i might be annoyed; it's a sacrifice for the much improved second installment!!!!

This game is definitely worth the pay to play. There is a variety of character to unlock and level up as play wave after wave of undead, goblin, trolls, and other different creatures. You can play with friends on this as I play with my brother on this, unfortunately it only goes up to two people per game. The Siege mode that allows people to play on the enemy side is very fun but can tricky to play when you level up your units and castles as they will be the ones fighting you in Siege.Complaints: Please update for IOS11, make it impossible to play on the multiplayer features but other than that it is a great game

This is the only iPad game I have never deleted. It’s endless, SO many levels, and so challenging! But not as frustrating as most money-grubbing mobile games. The key is, spend 6 bucks right away to unlock all the hero classes, then you will never have to pay again unless you just want to reward this company for making an amazing game. Complete each level with every hero and you have enough crystals to keep everything upgraded. This really gets your strategic mind working and despite how challenging it is, is really soothing after a long day. This game can last you years, no kidding!

Foursaken,This game is amazing. Thankyou for all the work you have put into it so far! I've been looking for something like this since I got an iPod touch. I have never played an iOS game that was this deep, engaging, or challenging. I love the difficulty level! If the game was easy it would have grown old quickly and just become a spam fest. The later stages of the campaign really force you to sit down and plan out your defenses. I was shocked to get such a great update so quickly, and I'm definitely looking forward to what else you will be adding. I also appreciate how balanced the currency system is. I never feel like you guys are grabbing for my wallet. I gladly payed for all the new content in the update (the Mage is BY FAR my favorite character), but there is no "freemium wall" that you sometimes hit in games with IAP's.A couple constructive criticisms:1. The game becomes laggy to the point of being unplayable when I turn "iPod On" in the options screen. I have an iPod touch 4, so it may just be the fact that I have a slightly older divice. It would be nice to be able to listen to the new My Bloody Valentine album while hacking up skeletons.2. Unit A.I. could use some slight improvements. It can be kind of frustrating when I have 12 pikemen on the field and they all go for the closes Orc while there are five others attacking my walls. This is by no means a deal breaker, but it would be nice to have a couple tweaks implemented that make my units "smarter."Some wishfull thinking:It would be really cool to be able to climb the walls and fight with the archers and riflemen. 50 gold for a pot of boiling oil to dump on the heads of the enemy? HAHA!Overall, this game is a CLASSIC. Well done guys. I'm going to be coming back to this game for a LONG TIME, and I just downloaded Bug Heroes and Bug Heroes Quest. I'm looking forward to tearing up your back catalogue. Keep up the good work and bring us more heroes to play with!
