The AWS Console Mobile Application, provided by Amazon Web Services, lets customers view and manage resources to support incident response while on-the-go.

The Console Mobile Application allows AWS customers to monitor resources through a dedicated dashboard and view configuration details, metrics, and alarms for select AWS services. The Dashboard provides permitted users with a single view of a resource's status, with real-time data on Amazon CloudWatch, AWS Personal Health Dashboard, AWS Billing and Cost Management, and Recently Visited Services. Customers can view ongoing issues and follow through to the relevant CloudWatch alarm screen for a detailed view with graphs and configuration options. In addition, customers can check on the status of specific AWS services, view detailed resource screens, and perform select actions.

The Console Mobile Application requires an existing AWS account. Upon initial setup, the Console Mobile Application lets you stay signed in to multiple identities at once. Login process leverages biometric authentication (on supported devices), making access to AWS resources simple and quick.

The Console Mobile Application supports Amazon API Gateway, AWS Billing and Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CloudTrail, Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon DynamoDB, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS), Elastic Load Balancing, AWS Identity and Access Management, AWS Lambda, AWS OpsWorks, AWS Personal Health Dashboard, Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), Amazon Route 53, Amazon Simple Queue Service features, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC).

The Console Mobile Application supports US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Africa (Cape Town), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Osaka), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Canada (Central), EU (Frankfurt), EU (Ireland), EU (London), Europe (Milan), EU (Paris), EU (Stockholm), Middle East (Bahrain) and South America (Sao Paulo).

I have being using cloud computing and workspace since several years ago for small business. Service is fast, reliable and stable. An restore and backup of system assistance leveled program can be helpfull. Also a training program for small business users is necessary

Helpful, but needs depth in a couple places

Helpful but missing a lot of functionality. Understandably so though. Aws is huge and putting the time into flushing out a service would be difficult to maintain.

When looking to be able to do aws config fully on iOS, the biggest gaps have to be filled by using the browser for lambda and api gateway which I don’t mind since I need all the features available. so I am not opposed to using the browser for that.

What I would like to see is cloudwatch insight logs integration for the app. This would be a game changer to have an interface for my saved log filters and queries to do quick debugging.

This app is not good

This is a review specifically for the AWS console app. I have tried to use it to get an idea of what is happening to our systems when we get a cloud watch alarm. It is essentially useless for any kind of diagnosis that isn’t obvious from a graph.

Got a queue backing up? You’ll be able to see that in the chart, but god help you if you want to know why. Cloud watch logs are amazing on the web and here they are an absolute burden. Basically anything other than resource depletion is going to be a mystery.

From looking at the rest of it, I have no idea why you would use this for anything at all. Seems like a missed opportunity.
