I don’t understand the negative reviews. The app works great for us. There is almost no latency. Having Salto locks on all our locations makes managing access amazingly easy.

Update made it harder

In the old version the app would always open to my list of locks. Now it opens to a dashboard that shows my past activity. Why would I need to see that immediately let alone every time the app is opened? I know where I’ve been. Now you have to click into another screen to find the locks and it will still try to drag you back to the dashboard. Whoever designed this clearly doesn’t actually have to use the product. There’s nothing more frustrating than waiting for the app to reload and still having to click through to find the locks. The digital key can be inconsistent for locks you can’t get as close to like a garage entry, so being able to use the remote open is a key feature that’s been made harder to access.

Less consistent than a casino. Some sensors recognize my phone from 1 foot away, others need to be physically TOUCHING my phone in a very specific way. 2mm off and I can’t unlock the door. But hey, why would you need to unlock an alley door quickly? Life begins outside your comfort zone! Need an excuse to skip the gym? Install Salto and you’ll never be able to unlock the gym again!

Have it at work. Most of the time out takes a few tries with standing awkwardly in front of the door being laughed at by coworkers. Finally today refused to find any locks 🤷♂️. Also really obnoxious that the widget (which is actually really useful!) won’t tell you if you’ve been logged out.
