The app does not support push notifications to your device. So, when the waste drawer is full you will NOT RECEIVE any type of notification. No push notification, no email notification, not even a letter in the mail. They only way this app currently provides you with relevant information is within their message center in this Petsnowy app. You can have a dozen messages and not know until you open the app and navigate to messages. Defeats the purpose of an automatic litter system when you have to navigate to the app regularly to find out if you have any important messages. Specifically, I want to receive a push notification when the waste drawer is full so I can change the liner.Most apps allow you to modify the type of notification you receive; ie, Lock Screen, Notification Center, and/or Banner. This app does not have that feature built in so it is not available within iOS > Settings > Notifications > Notifications Style to make those selections.

The app has a lot of bugs and doesn’t work most of the time. I spent about 5 hours of trying to add the Petsnowy litter box to the app and make it work, I went through adding and deleting the box many times, resetting the box, plugging, unplugging , restarting the router, reinstalling the app etc. after a few hours of struggling I finally was able to add the box to the app but it was saying the box is off line when the network test in the app was checking all the boxes and saying the connection is normal with no problems. I spent another a couple of hours trying different solutions, then I reset the cash and unbind the device, reinstalled the apps and finally was able to make the app work. It worked for a few days until I unplugged the box to clean it. Now I plugged it back it and it says the device if offline again, at the same time the network test in the app checks all the boxes and shows that the network works well. I don’t want to spend hours reinstalling everything again. This app is a raw unfinished product. Expect that you won’t be able to use the smart features of the Petsnowy products most of the time and you’ll spend a lot of time trying to figure it or just give up on it. The app has 2 out of 5 stars rating in the App Store for a reason…

This app tries to be too fancy for its own good and consequently just doesn’t work well. In comparison to LitterRobot’s latest app, PetSnowy feels like a high school coding project, so I am stupefied that the latest update is more than a year old (if I’m reading that right). The language is cute, and the system identification of felines by weight, etc. is innovative and efficient, but the work logs in the app and the little pull-up window often doesn’t display data, and is just as annoying as tar to use and navigate. Accessing data via the graphs doesn’t give you time granularity and all of this makes it difficult to access and data, which is one of the primary uses of these apps. I’d suspect this could be a connection issue, but device controls work, and meanwhile there’s no WiFi config info to see signal strength or any issues, nor reboot the connection. For a device that promises to be so much better than competition, the app is meager and annoying, and I suspect it may get returned within my 30 days because of it.

Please… for the love of God or any religion. Please hire a skilled app developing team or if it’s even one singular person with a great work portfolio to be lead. I love PetSnowy and will pick it over Litter Robot any day easy—I’ve had 2 LR units. The weight measuring and pet use dialogue logs is very cute. I enjoy them. The app DOESNT update as often as it should to let me actually monitor my cats’ uses well. A couple of my cats even went outside of the box elsewhere and I can’t figure out if it’s still due to the new box or if it didn’t clean or what. I also can’t tell whether 1 cat might still be avoiding it(which is why I like the weight system and profiles). I’ll have large 12 hour gaps of usage reports. It makes me very close to needing to quit using PetSnowy which I very much would prefer not to. I work 12 hour shifts and when it works, it’s great. When it doesn’t, I can’t make sure I can actually continue using it or not.
