GPX viewer 2 is my independent app for viewing and following your GPX routes. Carefully crafted for all outdoor enthusiasts – hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists and geocachers – with no ads and no subscription.
Import your routes from GPX files (tracks or routes), even if your file contains multiple tracks. Display them on a wide range of base maps (standard, satellite, OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, Swisstopo, IGN…) or on your own custom maps, and download them for offline use.
Browse the interactive elevation profile, statistics, points of interest, image galleries, and even an audio guide if your GPX file includes one. Weather conditions at the start of your route are also available.
Follow your progress on the map in real time, and with the navigation tools – compass, altitude, speed, and the ability to add manual bearing markers – you can head out on any adventure with confidence.

This version fixes a bug with the entry of GPS coordinates for manual waypoints with certain keyboards.
And if you missed the latest new features, here is the information from version 2.6.0: GPX viewer 2 now supports geocaching and brings new features to make your adventures even easier!
- New: geocaching fields are automatically recognized on waypoints (cache type, difficulty, terrain, hint, etc.). All geocaching features are highlighted in a dedicated color throughout the app.
- New: the navigation tools have been improved – you can now place bearing markers on the map, manually edit their GPS position – perfect for geocaching! – and assign a custom icon.
- Improvement: it is now possible to download the map for a route that contains only waypoints (no track) – again, ideal for geocaching without network coverage!
- New: a shortcut now lets you rename your route directly from the list.
- Improvement: the route renaming feature is more robust to prevent accidental changes.
- Improvement: the app now automatically appears as an option when opening a GPX file on your device.
- Improvement: better support for GPX 1.0 format.
