I give this a low rating because i’m comparing it to Noom. I’m only using Wellos because my health insurance pays for it. The app crashes and logs me out regularly , it lacks features like saving my own recipes , and adding my health app steps into its activity progress for the day. It also rounds my daily weight up and since I’m using it for weight loss it is discouraging that it doesn’t display the fraction of a pound I lost that day. Also, i haven’t been able to figure out how to log on to my account from my computer. I would switch back to Noom if my heath insurance would provide the membership or maybe i will look into paying out of pocket because I dislike this program so much.

This app and experience was such a letdown. I created an account because I absolutely adored Platejoy. I was really shocked and sad to see that they shut down but was hopeful as they said all of their recipes would move to this app. I just signed up and downloaded the app and immediately was finding bugs. When you click on a recipe it takes you back to the main home screen for recipes. I am not able to save or look at the recipes, I did recognize that many are from PlateJoy so I was really excited at first. When I first went vegan in 2017 I did not know really how, my boyfriend and I used platejoy religiously, every single day for every meal and we loved the experience. I have since used it off and on over the years and recently wanted to go back to my roots and kind of have a reset, I then discovered that they have decided to shut down. I really wish we could have the old platform back even if that meant no more new recipes and very minimal, but with the algorithm that was built before and the ability to save menus, etc. would be amazing to still have.

This is my first day using the app and there are things I really love and things that need further attention. I love the convenience of scanning items to track calories and just having a quick diet diary. I also love the introductory videos and the many ways to track my wellness journey. However, I wish there was a way to plug in how many calories were burned during a workout rather than just the activity and time spent. Also, when I went to look at recipes, none of the links work and just it takes you back to the recipe list. So that seems broken right now. Even after trying to restart the app, recipes just do not load up. That said, I truly see the potential here and can foresee this being my go to wellness app. Would just love to see these things fixed and adjusted. Thanks!
