I’ve been using PeakWatch and it has become one of the most valuable tools in my marathon training. What stands out immediately is the depth and quality of the performance data it provides. Rather than just tracking basic stats, the app delivers meaningful insights into fitness trends, fatigue levels, and overall training readiness, which are essential when preparing for a marathon. The way the data is presented makes a big difference. Everything is clear, well organized, and easy to interpret, so I can quickly see how my performance is evolving over time. It helps me make informed decisions about when to push harder and when to recover, which is critical for staying consistent and avoiding burnout during long training cycles. For anyone serious about performance and training with purpose, especially marathon runners, PeakWatch offers a level of analysis that goes far beyond standard fitness apps. It turns raw data into actionable insight and makes it much easier to train smarter and improve over time.
Looks promising, but…

I’m not a pro athlete or a gym rat or anything close to that, so YMMV. I bike, walk and do some indoor workouts on a recumbent. Always on the lookout for an app that will help me keep track of where I’m at - health and fitness wise - maybe tell me to slow down when I overdo it or encourage me to work harder when I’m slacking. PeakWatch seems to do that fine, as do several other apps in the same price category. It’s a great looking app and provides more stats than I really need. Hesitations: I’m about halfway through the one week trial. Every time I re-open the app it “forgets” that I’m already on a subscription and nags me to sign up again. I have to go in and hit restore, then all is well again… until the next time I open the app. I’ve asked support about that, but so far, no response. I had also contacted them with questions/comments about the apps journal function - it seems like a bolt-on afterthought - lots of boilerplate stuff that’s meaningless to me (ex: pregnancy. I’m a male and very unlikely to get pregnant.) You can add your own stuff, but it seems kind of pointless - the app apparently doesn’t do anything with the info, just lets you add it. No answer from support on that comment/question either, so I’m not enthusiastic about dropping the $50 for a year’s use. Again, YMMV. It’s a great looking app and seems to cover most of the bases… For now, I think I’ll keep looking.

I’ve been using the Peak Watch app for a while now, and it has truly transformed the way I approach my fitness and recovery. The app provides clear and intuitive charts that make it easy to understand my daily training load and recovery status at a glance. What I love most about Peak Watch is its simplicity and accuracy. It cuts through the noise of overly complicated fitness apps and delivers straightforward insights that help me optimize my workouts without overtraining. The recovery status feature is particularly valuable—it ensures I stay balanced and avoid burnout. The interface is sleek, user-friendly, and perfectly tailored for anyone who wants to improve their performance and recovery. Whether you’re a casual fitness enthusiast or a serious athlete, this app is a game-changer. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to take control of their training and recovery!
Fantastic Tool
The_MattNewton
I have been using PeakWatch in addition to their StressWatch app (also amazing) and am absolutely thrilled at all of the statistics I am able to glean from it. It fills in so many gaps that my other services don’t provide. As an avid runner, I’ve found apps that help track calories, miles, run plans, etc. However, very few offer the training insights this app provides as it relates to a holistic view of not only your training itself, but also the recovery and general health insights as well. The app was definitely worth the subscription and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in diving deeper into their overall training and really getting “peak” levels of truly helpful insights you just won’t find combined in such a clean and helpful way elsewhere.
This update includes:
• Added several new Control Center controls
• Fixed target settings for certain superset exercises
• Fixed an issue where Heart Rate Recovery and related metrics were unavailable for some users
• Fixed an issue where the Apple Watch app displayed no data on watchOS 10.6.2
• Additional refinements and improvements
Thank you for your support and love. PeakWatch will continue improving the experience.
